This Joilcan 80 Inch Tripod is a great overall tripod especially for the price point. I purchased this tripod for many reasons, the 80 inch height, the spiked feet, and the reviews stating the sturdiness. I looked at many tripods on Amazon and couldn't figure which one to go with. I do a lot of landscape photography, slow motion waterfall photography along with photography were the terrain isn't always even. I'm a male 5 ft 10 inches and was tired of having to bend down on tripods that only went up to 60 inches. So the first thing I tried was putting the tripod up to its top height with my Olympus EM-10 camera with a 300mm lenses on it. The total weight was only about 4 pounds but on previous tripods I did not feel that it was sturdy when the center column was fully extended. Not with the Joilcan 80 tripod. I put this tripod to highest height with camera and lenses on it, and no problems, it was very sturdy and did not move ( i did this test inside, so I'm not sure during windy conditions). The ball head is heavy duty and yes it is removable! Legs are very sturdy and everything on this tripod seems to be made of high quality material. Overall I would highly recommend this tripod. Pro's - Very sturdy tripod even at its highest height and easy to setup High quality material for everything on this tripod. Removable Ball Head tightens perfectly with very little movement after tightening Higher tripod at 77 inches higher than a lot other tripods. Spiked Rubber Feet for outdoor use, to get a better grip in dirt, grass, etc. Cons - If you looking for a super lightweight tripod, this might not be the lightest one out there. Its not heavy but is heavier than other tripods that I've owned. That being said, keep in mind its heavier because it goes up to 80" and the quality of material is better, so to me I have no problem dealing with a little bit more weight. Angle Locking Knobs for extending the legs out are a little annoying. To change the position of the legs when the legs are locked, you have to push the lock and then push the leg inwards to unlock it and then adjust the leg to the angle you want it. It took a few minutes to realize that once you push the lock that you have to push the leg inward then adjust to where you want. Also one of the angle locking knob seems to be looser than the other two, so I will keep an eye on it. However I would strongly recommend this tripod to someone who wants a tripod that has a lot of features, is very sturdy even at its highest extension and wants a tripod that goes higher than 60 inches. ... show more

Wow I was hesitant about getting this tripod but after I received it in the mail, I am pleasantly surprised & thrilled with this. It comes with a quick release plate, a 360 degree ball socket head, a bubble level, a cell phone attachment, the 4 inch extension, an L-wrench, a drawstring bag that fits nicely over the ball socket head for protection or to use to hold the cell phone attachment, 4 inch extension, & the L-wrench if you want to. The legs of the tripod are built solid, extending 4 times, click into 4 positions individually, & have both spikes & rubber feet. You can also remove one of the legs completely for use as a monopod. A camera can be mounted both horizontally or vertically for a variety of shots and rotate 360 degrees! The top of the tripod can be extended to a height of 84 inches tall. You can rotate the camera mount to do macro photography as well. It also has a counter balance hook for additional weight to keep it secure. The tripod comes with easy to read & understand manual complete with information for contacting the makers of the product if you have any questions about the product. It is relatively easy to use, very light weight, & folds up easy to store & carry in a black canvas bag that was provided. As a Professional Photographer & Artist I would highly recommend this product to anyone who wants a great quality tripod/monopod for taking photos, videos, or attaching an easel or Plein Air setup. Well Built, Exciting to Use, Love Showing It Off I am excited to review the Joilcan Camera Tripod. First, the packaging it came in was done with care. It was solid packaging, and the tripod parts were well protected. It is a beautiful aluminum tripod that looks and feels sturdy. I am impressed with the quality, detail, and color of this tripod. It sets firmly on a carpet as well as on a hardwood floor, there is no worry about it tipping over. I had 2 legs on a carpet and 1 leg on flooring and the tripod was stable. I haven’t used them yet, but this tripod has a great feature, all three feet has spikes on them to give you even more stability. The three independent legs adjust by using solid twist connections which opens and closes easily. The twists are easy to get to and large enough to grasp. The price is right, under $100. I enjoy this tripod’s metal ball head, which turns and rotates a complete 360 degrees, or you can put it in other various degree angles. I have a heavy Sony camera and this tripod attached to and held it without any issues. What I also like is that the tripod folds up easily which allows you to take it anywhere. A real plus, it comes with a quality carrying case. The tripod and case are very lightweight. I am not sure of how high this tripod extends, I didn’t measure, but it definitely goes way over 6 feet. Was surprised me was even when fully extended, this tripod was sturdy, with no wobbling whatsoever. I have used my Joilcan tripod almost every day since January and truthfully, have nothing bad to say about it. ... show more
