I so wanted to love this vest! I wanted it for hiking and walking. First of all the vest water bottles dribbled all over me. Secondly the the way the vest is cut is weird for a women. If you are busty at all the way the vest fits is very unflattering. If felt like “the girls” were sticking out on both sides of the vest. I ordered L and maybe a XL would have covered better but no option for XL. Had to return. Hoping that Camelbak company will come out with something better. I didn’t care for the front bottles and it shook around a lot. Osprey was a much better fit for ultras! I wanted to be able to pull it tighter and was unable to. Lots of sloshing and jumping.

I personally like a reservoir located on the back with storage pockets on the front. Front side water is best balanced with complementary back side weight. If the vest isn't balanced it tends to work its way forward or backwards of which neither is beneficial for your posture and run times. The bladder bags are better than bottles which can slosh. 34 oz of water weighs 2.13 lbs. I like to chill my water on hot days. I also like the feeling of coolness on my back more than on the front side. Your body heat will warm the water. One benefit of the front position is that wind movement seems to keep the water cooler in that location. I find the top access front pockets keep things inside them secure. The smaller size of them also tends to make it so that items don't bounce around in the pockets. The down side is that the pockets are harder to get things into and out of. It takes a bit of finesse. If you have tightened your vest so things don't bounce which you will probably do, it also gets somewhat harder to use the pockets. If you don't like things on your backside then you are probably looking at this vest and thinking it may do the trick. I would say perhaps it may. It does have a "quality made" feel to it. It does ventilate and keep on the cooler side. I think it has a very good form and shape to it. I do wish it came in more colors. I personally would love it if they made an all neutral colored vest of which you also received zip on/off pocket fronts and such in an assortment of colors from which you could make it that color for that event. Anyways, it is a functional hydration vest and serves a necessary function of which hopefully it will do well for you. ... show more

    • Good For Trail Running but Runs Small

I was excited to use this for trail running. The front flasks are great to hold water or electrolyte drink. For longer runs, I can add my own water reservoir. There isn't a lot of extra room for things like jackets and gloves for cooler weather running but it does fit a cell phone nicely. I actually prefer to use a back reservoir and just one of the bottles so it opens up a pocket for first aid kit and pepper spray. This is lightweight and breathes easily. Also, the front straps are easy to clip and adjust. I wish the front was cut a little different around the underarm area. It would be nice if there was more cut so that the underarms didn't rub so much on the vest. It helps to add anti chafing cream or balm to underarms to keep them from chafing and rubbing on this vest when wearing a tank top or short sleeves. The biggest issue I have with this vest is the sizing. It runs a tad small and for those with bigger breasts, I would definitely size up. I ended up giving this to my daughter who is smaller than me and it fits her much better. ... show more

Edgy and trendy vest for a bunch of different activities, especially for hiking or running long trails or athletic events. The vest is about 30" wide and about 15" long. As you can see, it's on the smaller size, ideal for athletes, but if you have over-sized breasts, or abdomen, not a going to be a good fit. Definitely good-looking gear with some see through parts. There are roughly 8 pockets or compartments in this little garment and all them have a great finishing, either with embedded elastic, zipper or double seam hems. Highly adjustable for any needs, a gem in its category. I am not a fan of having a huge logo on the back, this time "CAMELBAK is vertically written in the back in 1" wide by 4" long for the 8 letters, that's why I gave the vest a 4 star review. ... show more

I had wanted to use this vest for long runs but I’ve found it to be just to cumbersome for that although it’s great for half day hikes. The side pockets are not very accessible when you’re running and the back areas to stash a jacket or what have you require taking the vest off completely to access. I feel it works best with a reservoir in the back rather than the bottles on the front. The bottles on the front weigh it down and make it unbalanced so it’s constantly bunching up around the back of your neck, especially if you’re running.
