Four months and 40+ miles of varied hiking terrain later I still like these boots! They are one of the more comfortable boots I’ve had. Wearing them for 8-10 hours a day hiking and working in the woods is not a problem, they are solid. I’ve done brush clearing, tree trimming, hiked rough rocky ridge lines, slogged my way through swampy areas and the boots performed well. With brief immersion into water the leather uppers seem to soak up the water but my feet have so far stayed dry. These boots probably won’t hold up in harsher climates when it comes to severe rain periods & snow but for what I use them for, being a Maintenance Technician, they’re lightweight yet durable enough to withstand the strain I put on them. I bought these for work and have ultimately been disappointed in them. The laces on both boots have now broken within a couple months. One of the main reasons I chose this pair over others was the vinyl toe guards, but those have begun to separate from the leather on both boots. I'll obviously need a new pair sooner than I'd like, and I won't be buying these again. I'd expect better durability for the price. ... show more

I usually wear 8.5 but ordered 9 to fit with winter socks. They're too large and too narrow at the same time. I just tried them on and my toes already feeling the pressure on the sides, and my feet aren't that wide. Seems like very good quality for the price but the manufacturer needs to make "wide" available. ... show more

It's a very nice boot and will probably last a while as long as you take care of them. It's far from a work boot because the soles are so soft, you can just tell, if you stepped too hard on a jagged rock even while hiking you'd easily rip a lug off. Just be careful. Be aware of that and you can hike in them and they'll last. Not a work boot though. For the price this is an amazing deal though. I like these boots I use them for work the style is very nice reminds me of timbs, I got compliments many times from other guys at work. I am a mechanic and I'm often in uneven floor surfaces. I've had the boots for 7 months the only thing that is wrong is a slight tear on the top part due to walking on railroad gravel.
