I bought this coat for a younger homeless man I've been seeing around my coffee shop. I'm in Michigan, it's winter and its cold! We have harsh winters so I wanted to get him something that would keep him warm without breaking me, especially being days after Christmas. After reading reviews, I bought this coat (along with a new winter designed sleeping bag). The day after giving him the items, I seen him and asked how his day and night was.. his reply, much warmer! Thank you! He said the coat keeps him warm and it was a much better night than it had been. My view- The coat appeared to be made of good quality material, inside is nice and soft, it has built in thumb holes to go over your hands partially if you wanted. Nice big hat. Good buy and good price. I recommend.

My husband wore this jacket on our snow trip and it held up great! It kept him warm and dry the entire time, even during the blizzard we were in. The fit was just right— not too bulky but still insulated enough for freezing temps. Plenty of pockets, good quality zippers, and it looks great on him too. Definitely a solid winter jacket for the price!

I live in New Hampshire so there’s only so much you can do to keep warm around here. This coat is what I would call a medium level of warmth. I like the addition of the handwarmers but if I don’t want to use them they’re kind of a pain in the butt every time I try to put on the coat my hands get stuck in the hole. The fur lining in the hood is also nice. But the coat itself is very stiff and smells like plastic. It’s also not very thick. Like I said I live in New Hampshire, it’s freezing here, and I can feel the wind through this coat. I still wear it because it looks nice and it’s comfortable but for me it’s only three out of five stars for this coat. They really need to do something about the smell.

I couldn't be happier with this purchase! This coat has exceeded my expectations. I read the reviews before purchasing it and most reviews were very positive but until I actually wore the coat for several weeks in rain, snow and extreme cold, I wasn't completely convinced as to how great it is. In the past, I have bought winter coats more for style than anything. This winter I wanted a durable long lasting coat that would be great for all kinds of winter weather. It's first test came this past November in a light rain. No problem. The outer layer keeps you completely protected. I didn't sense or feel any moisture penetrate to the inside of the coat and it probably would be the same in an absolute downpour but I can't verify that. Fast forward 8 weeks and the Midwest got it's first shot of Artic air with temps dropping down to single digits and negative wind chills. This coat handled all of it like a pro. I felt warm on all occasions. The wind at times was 25mph and it completely seals that out like a pro. Yes I did have a sweater on underneath most days but I did wear this with a short sleeve shirt one day underneath to test it and it was warm on the inside. The outer layer technology truly is amazing. The inner layer doesn't seem too thick and the "fake fur" lining or whatever is the last layer next to your body is super soft and comfortable. In conclusion, I can't rate this coat high enough. Whether you are skiing or just using it for everyday winter weather for 3 or more months including rainy days, you are sure to love this coat. I do have one small negative but I understand it. The outer layer of the coat is the key to it's greatness but it does have a "crinkly" to it due to what it is made of. This is NOT a completely QUIET coat if that matters to you. When you walk, it will make a slight "crinkly" sound and when you move when sitting down but it's nothing major at all. Some winter coats have more of a "swisher" type sound but I would describe this as "crinkly". This is a must buy at $50.00 or so. A very practical and warm winter coat that is not overly stylish but still looks decent and will keep you warm and dry. This is a "Amazon Choice" for a reason.

I love, love, love this coat! With freezing temperatures approaching, I needed a coat and thumb holes and awesome price convinced me to purchase this one and couldn't be happier with my purchase. I drove to work, in freezing temperatures and was fine. As I began the drive home that evening, I realized that I still hadn't turned on the heat. Buy it! You'll love it too!
