So I received the jacket in a small Amazon white plastic bag. Opened it up and took it out of the other bag it was packaged in. Right off the bat, I felt that this jacket is so thin. It wasn't poofy. It wasn't thick. It felt like it should be a spring jacket. I was very skeptical. So I threw it on while I was wearing a short sleeves shirt and immediately cringed because the inside of the arms were very cold on my arms and was not like the other fabric inside of the jacket. That was strike 2. Well after about 10 seconds, all doubt escaped my mind. This jacket was quite warm. Granted, I was inside a nicely heated home so the real test would be going outside. After 2 weeks of use, with temperatures as high as 50 degrees and as low as 8 degrees, this jacket kept me comfortable! I still don't believe it. It never felt too hot at 50 degrees and it felt perfect at 8 degrees. It's definitely a huge change from the big poofy jackets that I used to wear. If I have to complain about something, it would be the thing that goes around your hand and thumb at the end of the sleeves. They're a bit annoying but it's not a deal breaker. ... show more

Winter coat went to trash, and needed a quick replacement. Searched forever and found this. I purchased their hiking boot 3 years ago, and SWEAR by their boots, so figured, let's try the coat. I LOVE IT!!! Late winter here, so after wondering if spent money too late vs too early, this showed up just in time for winter to re-emerge with the fury of a basset hound who lost a treat under the refrigerator. Long story short, it feels soooooo good. It's warm, and repels the precipitation of Mother nature trying to figure out if it's supposed to rain, snow or do both simultaneously because mother nature is bipolar and eternally angry. I got this coat for my son and he really likes it. It's warm and the hood can be removed however he hasn't had it very long and the zipper already broke off it so that is why I can't give it a 5 star rating

The photos do not do this jacket justice. The color is a gorgeous blue / navy that shimmers in the light. My SIL loves it. He's a tall man (over 6 foot) and the XL fit him perfectly.
