I couldn't be happier with this purchase! This coat has exceeded my expectations. I read the reviews before purchasing it and most reviews were very positive but until I actually wore the coat for several weeks in rain, snow and extreme cold, I wasn't completely convinced as to how great it is. In the past, I have bought winter coats more for style than anything. This winter I wanted a durable long lasting coat that would be great for all kinds of winter weather. It's first test came this past November in a light rain. No problem. The outer layer keeps you completely protected. I didn't sense or feel any moisture penetrate to the inside of the coat and it probably would be the same in an absolute downpour but I can't verify that. Fast forward 8 weeks and the Midwest got it's first shot of Artic air with temps dropping down to single digits and negative wind chills. This coat handled all of it like a pro. I felt warm on all occasions. The wind at times was 25mph and it completely seals that out like a pro. Yes I did have a sweater on underneath most days but I did wear this with a short sleeve shirt one day underneath to test it and it was warm on the inside. The outer layer technology truly is amazing. The inner layer doesn't seem too thick and the "fake fur" lining or whatever is the last layer next to your body is super soft and comfortable. In conclusion, I can't rate this coat high enough. Whether you are skiing or just using it for everyday winter weather for 3 or more months including rainy days, you are sure to love this coat. I do have one small negative but I understand it. The outer layer of the coat is the key to it's greatness but it does have a "crinkly" to it due to what it is made of. This is NOT a completely QUIET coat if that matters to you. When you walk, it will make a slight "crinkly" sound and when you move when sitting down but it's nothing major at all. Some winter coats have more of a "swisher" type sound but I would describe this as "crinkly". This is a must buy at $50.00 or so. A very practical and warm winter coat that is not overly stylish but still looks decent and will keep you warm and dry. This is a "Amazon Choice" for a reason. ... show more

I have a down-filled winter coat that I'm wearing out. Finding a replacement hasn't been easy. I wanted something that will keep me warm but not make me sweat as soon as I put it on. My old coat had a nylon/polyester smooth liner in the torso and arms. This one has a more "fleece like" liner for the torso and nylon/polyester-type for the sleeves. Fairly comfortable to wear. Boy oh boy where do I start. I opened this package to see what my fate held. To my surprise I was brought nothing but pure beauty. The inside, soft, warm, and full. The outside, waterproof, sheek, and cool to the touch. When I put it on I feel like iron man. The sleeves wrap around my arms protecting them from any object being thrown at me, and the hood. This jacket is amazing it's super warm even if worn with a simple T-shirt underneath its waterproof I tested it out wore it in the rain it's perfect it's a pretty heavy jacket it has 4 large pockets I can alone fit headphones in the main pockets but please believe people when they say to SIZE DOWN I got my size a XXL and I have a tent for a jacket I love it honestly but if you prefer something more fitted definitely size down but it's definitely worth the price Just for reference I am 5'5 at 227lbs ... show more

This jacket keeps me warm and dry at a great price. My only suggested improvements would be to have a big inside pocket or two to easily fit hat and gloves. There is a hidden inside zippered pocket and a smaller inside pocket. The jacket is heavier than I prefer, but warm, wind proof,and waterproof. It feels like women’s coats suck lately. Either the material tears, the zipper messes up, or you aren’t warm at all. My man had this jacket and I kept stealing it from him so I finally got one for myself and I don’t regret it! It’s the perfect weight, is waterproof, fits great and keeps me toasty and dry! The only issue I had with mine that he didn’t have was that the hood zipper messed up and now it’s hood less but I don’t mind. I wear a beanie hat anyway. In terms of washing, I wash it on no spin cycle and let it hang dry then when it’s not as wet, I throw it in the dryer on short time increments until it’s good to go. ... show more

A week before we were about to leave for Budapest, Bratislava and Krakow trip, I got scared like really scared about freezing and not being properly prepared for the elements for our Christmas Market Tour....snow, rain and freezing temperatures were predicted in all three cities. We both had packed puffer coats but what if it's raining and cold? Or windy and rainy? We would be soaked to the bone with our other puffers! So I ordered two of these jackets...
