Decent materials and decent size, however I have security and safety issues with it. Like the fact that the part that keeps the outside world not looking in is not zippered in place, but merely hung with hooks from the top down, which means it can be pushed out of the way very easily and also means that you can't have a halfway open window. It's either all the way open or all the way closed, which is not conducive to most camping trips. Also, none of the openings except the main door have operational screens, so unopenable in an emergency. You don't have another exit. Most tents, in fact almost all I've ever seen before this one, the screen part also zippers so you can get out. So that makes his tent unsafe and particularly vulnerable for women who worry about getting peeped on. Find another tent that follows standard manufacturing processes and procedures. The only thing keeping it from 1 Star is the fact that it is made well and the materials are decent. 2 Stars. ... show more

We’re very happy with this Camel 4 person tent. First of all, it looks very nice in the steel blue style. It’s good size - great for two adults, could get 2 adults and 2 children if necessary. It truly is easy to set up. We’ve only used it one without any rain or strong winds, so I can’t comment on how it holds up in that type of weather. Typical tent with everything you would normally get and set up with a tent. The fly doesn't go down the sides of the tent so in a rainstorm I am not so sure this would hold up with rain coming in from the sides. I hope to never test that out! It is large and has plenty of windows and door with ventilation. It comes with an almost too small bag to store it in and a nylon wrap that barely fits around the tent once you have unwrapped it one time! I'm not sure why they don't just make the bag a little bit larger so it's easier to get it in it but that is the way tents are made generally. Although it is a compact role, it is still fairly large for a backpack, so if that is your intention, you might find one that is specifically made to be smaller. But for the size of this tent, you will be Glamping in no time! ... show more

Ok, this was advertised as a backpacking tent but it is far too heavy to be one unless your definition of backpacking is to walk into a campsite a very short distance from your car. I have balought a few different Camel Crown jackets in the last few years and they are very waterproof and warm so when I saw this tent I knew I would be very satisfied by it. The material feels like the same material my 3 in 1 camel crown jacket's outer shell is made from and if it is than it will be a great tent for 3 maybe even 4 season use. I like the design and how the door is not centered because it will make keeping the inside dry and clean during use a bunch easier.
