The vast majority of our camp cooking is done on an outside grill/griddle. We use the oven portion of our internal stove on occasion, but rarely the gas stovetop. This wood cover is not only aesthetic but provides additional counter space when set on the stovetop. The underside of the cover has non-slip material that won't allow the cover to move...at all! That being said, the cover also comes with attachments that can be custom-fit to set on the grill rails of your stovetop, though we did not find the need for them with ours. It is important to note that this cover is NOT designed to be a cutting board, so please don't buy it for that purpose. All in all, we are extremely pleased with this purchase and found the price to be very reasonable for the quality and usefulness of the cover. We had an oak one of these in our 2001 Alfa Ideal 5th wheel (actually, we STILL have it in that RV!). We always assumed Alfa made it special because they were a "luxury" brand, it fit on the grates perfectly, and was nice quality. Our 2015 Keystone Montana 5th wheel came with a piece of the counter that covered the stove, but our 2023 Jayco Greyhawk C-class motorhome just has a folding, tinted glass cover that scratches easily. We wanted something sturdier to protect the glass and give more counter space. We were so delighted to see the same stove cover we love from our Alfa available! We were considering making one, lol. We bought the bamboo this time to match a bamboo sink cover the rig came with. I just attached the rubber feet in the pilot holes without using the template and set it on the glass. Easy job. It looks great and we hope it holds up as well as our 22 year old one has! ... show more

I bought this wooden cutting board/stove top counter space when I couldn't find my hard plastic one from last year. This one is very nice looking so that's a plus. I did manage to scratch it in the first month by putting it into the closet when traveling in the RV, but it's not that noticeable. I've been using it both over the sink and on the stove top, and it works great in both places. We did not bother to put the little "feet" on the bottom - I assume they are for the 4 burners of a regular stove and our RV only has 3. But the anti-slip material works just fine. would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for extra counter space. The only downside would be if you wanted it on half the stove while using the other half - I wouldn't put the wood that close to the flame (get marble if thats the case) but it's great for what I needed. ... show more

So I love the look and it fits perfectly on my stove. There is a template that tells you what holes to use to install the rubber feet, and mine were right on the money. This allows it to be stationary on the stove top. They also include a thin cutting pad so you can use the top for that purpose. Much nicer to look at than the stove top, and creates more counter space. Very nice. Having said that I did have some quality and shipping issues. There were a number of 'dings' in it when it arrived. I only noticed one at first and it was minor so I decided not to return it. However after unwrapping it to install I noticed others on the edges that were more noticeable and showed the underlying wood (light wood vs the dark stain). I wish I had taken a better look at it when it arrived - I might have requested a replacement. Chalk that one up to being a lazy/bad customer. Thinking Amazon would have replaced it even now, but I elected not to return. Lucky for me most of the dings and quality issues (I think one or two of the marks were quality/build issues) were in an area I could face towards the back. So the top looks nice where it is except for one mark - which I may get a furniture marker to make less noticeable. Love the color, love it in my RV, just be careful on the quality/shipping and you will be good. Would recommend. ... show more
