I bought the 7'8" or 92" size, but when it arrived I was disappointed to see it only measures 7' or 84". I was too excited to get on the water with my new kayak, so I just went with it. Looking back, I wish this was a little longer, as it would make paddling a bit more comfortable for me, but other than that, it's great. Solid, easy to assemble two piece construction. The dock hook on the end of the blade is very useful, and the raised portion on the handle makes it easy to hold in the right position. Overall, it is a great paddle and I would recommend it to anyone. Just make sure the length is accurate and will work for you. This is a great paddle for the money. We live on a small lake and travel to do river kayaking as well. We own five kayaks. We have grandchildren, ages 4 through 11, that will kayak. So, we have a variety of paddles types and sizes. This is a great generic paddle for our oldest grandkids and for my wife (5' tall). Can't complain given this is a $21 paddle. Lightweight and seems decently made. It worked well for me and never flexed from what I could tell. Great for pushing off as well. Great price! We bought two of these with free prime shipping and paid the same as if we had bought one at Dicks Sporting Goods. Very timely delivery, well packaged. The blades appears sturdy, the hand grips are not padded but do insulate hands from the cold shaft. The paddle can be separated into two pieces for easier transport and the quick release is sturdy and easy to use. Looking forward to using this but our river is iced over at the moment so cannot comment on them in use yet. Overall we are very pleased. ... show more

Love the color, curve of the paddle, and the dock hook. The stability is not perfect. The handle grips slide around constantly. The handle its self has a lot of give and is pretty flexible, which makes me nervous that it’s going to break on the water some day. So far so good!

Has been in use for a season now and has held up well. Used on class 1 and 2 riffles and lakes. Not used as often as our primary paddles as this is a back up used by guests using our extra tandem kayak or by grandchild in a small single kayak. Decent quality for the price.

These paddles are exactly what you'll find in the box stores and work just fine. The folks at the P.O. got a good laugh at the packing as I did. The box measured 3' X 5'. Not sure if that's always the case. If not delivered to your door, some smaller cars may make this a tight fit.

Love this paddle! It looks good (great color, but wish they had them in more colors so we could all have different ones). It works great. Feels great. Sure, could use more padding on the hand grip, but overall, works great. We've been out 3 times with it. One person, though I hated it, was using it as an anchor to stay in place and it didn't break.
