My dad needed this, we looked several places in town and could not find it or have it ordered. A clerk looked it up on Amazon and was kind enough to show us. It was a perfect fit.

  • meets all specs

I bought these elements as spares for my electric water heater in Mexico. They meet all the specs, and are easy to obtain, where as the elements in Mexico are harder to get, and are more expensive.

  • Great for my homebrew setup.
Size: 1
I'm using this on a home brew system to heat a 7 gallon HLT to 180 degrees. Works just fine on a standard 120 Volt 20 amp outlet. Water temperature started at 60 degrees and took an hour and a half to accomplish. During my timed test I did not have a lid on the HLT. Therefore, if the lid was in place, I would imaging the time would be cut by at least 15 minutes. Installing this on a stainless steel kettle is simple. You will need a 1 1/4" hole saw that is designed to be used on stainless. I purchased mine at Menards for $8.99 and a pilot bit for $3.97. Just read the carton to insure it can handle stainless. You will also need a round file to de-burr the opening. Purchase the silicone 211 O-ring, and stainless nut that everybody else recommends in their reviews. Tighten up the nut and wire it in. Make sure you use a cord rated for the wattage that is grounded. It is very important to use a ground on any metal container. If you don't ground the kettle you WILL be electrocuted if you touch the kettle while the element is plugged into an outlet. No I didn't use any controller. I just plugged it into an outlet. ... show more

  • Works great
Size: 1
This part worked great . Just make totally sure electric is shut off to appliance before replacing new one. To remove the old one make sure you use the right tool . The element sits really close to tank making it difficult in most settings to remove with a wrench or pliers . The old one is usually very tight from oxidation and so you want to have a good grip like a socket to remove it . ... show more

  • Saved money.
Size: 1
In MEXICO when an electric hot water heater stops working, you replace the whole heater. $300-400. This element cheap and fixes problems in 1/2 hour for cost of element. I recommend buying several at a time and also get the special tool(wench) to replace element since the tool makes changing element MUCH easier. ... show more
