  • Try it for yourself!!!
Platform For Display: PC Edition: Standard
I had to find out if COD IW was as bad as everyone was saying about it. I really enjoyed the game. I enjoyed playing on campaign. I can play this game, after completing, cause I see things, I could've done different. The item was at a price, I couldn't pass up. If you enjoy playing campaign, as opposed to multi-player, try it out and don't let others influence your chose. ... show more

  • You know nothing Salen Koch.
Platform For Display: PC Edition: Standard
I'm not going to do an in depth game review, there are gaming sites for that. I played the single player and it was entertaining. The voice acting was good and the graphics were pretty sweet too. I particularly enjoyed the part where you land and drive on the moon with the space battle happening. Of note, the preloading or whatever it was every time I launched the game was terrible. It took like what seemed forever. My computer is pretty decent but not top of the line, and I found this to be terribly annoying. I'd load my saved game and then go do chores for a few minutes while it loaded. I also feel like Infinity Ward ripped off their old pal over at Respawn and pulled a lot from Titanfall. You can wall run and double jump in this game, just like Titanfall and there are robots that look a whole like like Spectres ... I can imagine this would be a really fun play after the price drops. But for $59.99, it was mostly just another run of the mill space shooter. I didn't play multiplayer. ... show more

  • I cannot say enough about how much I loved this game
Platform For Display: PC Edition: Standard
I cannot say enough about how much I loved this game. I have only played the single player campaign so far, in about 16 hrs. I had the typical COD emotional roller coaster with the squad mates and crew. It reminded me somewhat of the old Wing Commander, though I must stress, it is a reminder not, that it is so much like Wing Commander.... That gave you response choices and mission choices and so on, similar to Mass Effect. This game, gives you that on the lite side. You go near or bump the crew and they will say something pertinent. There are a few items to interact with that fills in pieces of story also. I will look at the zombies and multiplayer at some point, but I really wanted to experience COD in space. It was a wild ride and so welcome. A lot of folks do not like the space aspect. I used to play a lot of the space games long ago, so this is refreshing in today's gaming environment to me. Thanks to the Devs who made it! ... show more

  • Goofy, juvenile game loaded with excruciating drama filled cut scenes
Platform For Display: PC Edition: Standard
For those of you who still cherish the original COD concept and game play, you should avoid this one like the plague. This is a SCI-FI OUTER SPACE type game, more reminiscent of Halo or the Star Wars Battlefront series. It has silly dialogue and is loaded with wise cracking robots and comes off more like Saturday cartoons when I was a kid. Shame on Infinity Ward for this travesty. I made it through about half of it and had to jump ship. Ahem. Now, having said that, for the kids out there, don't worry about receiving already used key codes if you do buy the game. I bought this from Amazon and it's a sealed, new game with no compromised code problems. Yes, the giant number of disks is agonizing to load and then Steam adds another colossal amount of downloading to get it ready -- but it does run and runs beautifully with Windows 10. The artwork and space ship scenery is stunning, I will say that. For the rest of us: from what I just saw from reviewers talking about the latest COD WWII, it sounds like the franchise is pretty much over with. They want these games to resemble Hollywood movies now, with the unbearable cut scenes featuring dysfunctional family problems (Black Ops, etc.). The first several COD games are still a treasure to re-play, so be sure to keep them! Out of frustration, I just bought myself a used copy of the very first Call of Duty -- it is unbelievable how well made that one still plays and LOOKS -- and on Windows 10. No drama filled cut scenes, just the short briefing about your next mission and then a moderate intro with your commanding officer talking to you, and you're off. I went with Hard Difficulty and was blown away by how much genius went into the enemy characters you have to square off with. Be warned though, Microsoft has attempted to screw the whole thing up by blocking your Disk 1 as the game starter (Secure Rom), so, you will need to go and get the NO CD off the internet in order to play it. Compatibility settings will not do it. Don't bother trying it that way. As far as other FPS games? The budget priced game companies like City Interactive make outrageously fun battle games -- and there are others out there to be found. Oh, and Battlefield IV has a great Single Player Campaign on it. See ya, COD! And I've become weary of BIG BROTHER Steam constantly high-jacking my desktop anyway. LOL. ***Take care all, and maybe the COD creators will wake up some day. I ain't waitin' around to find out. ... show more

  • Great game for fans of military sci-fi and amazing graphics
Platform For Display: PC Edition: Standard
Probably the most underrated game I've played. Easily one of my favorite COD games yet it was critically obliterated. Real shame considering the quality of the game. It has a fast paced script with satisfying military flavor. I enjoyed and cared about most of the characters. The gameplay is tight and fluid and very fun and it is literally the best looking game I have ever seen which is not an understatement considering how much games keep improving graphically year by year. For me, with limited funds for PC building and gaming it is very future-proof. I look forward to installing and running it again when I get a new rig in the future. ... show more

  • Great new direction for COD
Platform For Display: PC Edition: Standard
I'm glad I bought this despite all the negative press Those things I usually criticize in FPS were absent here. The controls were tight, the combat varied as you advanced, and most importantly the climax was not just throw more and bigger and harder to d3estroy enemies, but real variation in play, theme , and strategy were present. Switching from ground assaults to aerial assaults was seamless. I thought this was going to be my last COD purchase but now I'm all enthused. On to the next. Some of you will disasgree with me. Button it. People have different perspectives. ... show more

Platform For Display: PC Edition: Standard
Disk came in box and in good condition, however I can not recommend this game for PC. The multiplayer player base is dead unless you live in Europe. So I can only see some one getting this game if they want to play the zombies mode. The mode is fine, however with 1 map and no players playing online, it may become stale. Get if cheap and you want to play zombies. ... show more
