These have a nice weight to them. I did put them on a bed for guests to stay and I did not wash them beforehand, but they said that the bed was so comfortable and they slept so well. I’m sure that they will feel even better after washing. They are very silky feeling and they have a nice Shane to them and they’re very pretty. They are not heavy to the point where they’re hot, but they are a nice weight and thread count. I will buy more for the other beds now. I really like this brand. The pillowcases are awesome too. After eyeballing these sheets and the reviews for a while, they went on sale-further reduced from an already low price (we all know how expensive sheets can be). My thought process was of these sheets didn’t work out, I didn’t spend that much and it wouldn’t be a huge loss. Boy, was I pleasantly surprised! It took a bit to receive them, but they showed up yesterday and I immediately put them in the wash, and dried on low as instructed. They didn’t take too long to dry- and naturally, 100% cotton is going to be a little more wrinkly than others. That doesn’t bother me. I put these sheets on straight out of the dryer. I had zero issues with the fitted sheet fitting my mattress. The top sheet is not as wide as I’m used to, but it’s large enough. Now, the real test! We slept on them last night. They are so soft! Now, if you’re used to the sateen feel- this is going to be a little different. I’ve had all sheet ranges in the past from 1000 thread count, to 200 thread count. I sleep warm, so I need sheets that breathe and can’t use the 1000 thread counts. These sheets fit the bill perfectly! I felt like they are breathable, and I didn’t sweat. I was so cozy. In fact, I woke up a few times in the middle of the night just to move around in bed and relish in the coziness. They honestly feel like the sheets we’ve slept in at the Four Seasons hotel. Are they super thick? No. But I dislike thick sheets. They seem very well made and I have no concerns that they are going to last. Others have mentioned that they further soften with each wash. I’m looking forward to that and truly considering purchasing more and throwing away all of my old sets. I purchased the bright white, so I’ve had no issues with color as others have. They are truly bright white. I regret not purchasing these sooner! ... show more

I love these sheets! They are the perfect color. Very soft fabric & easily washed. I recently purchased a new bed and it has a 14 inch mattress. These sheets fit perfectly over the deep mattress. Quality Product. Well made, is soft and feels good on the skin but also clearly well made and durable;won’t fall apart in a few washes. They do have a cooling effect on the skin which is great for warm weather but depending on your needs and your location they may not be highly suitable for extremely cold temperatures. The color is lovely. The teal is a beautiful contrast to the dark denim blue comforter I have on the bed. Being cotton it does have a tendency to wrinkle but I found taking the sheets straight from the dryer and putting them directly on the bed and smoothing it out eliminates most of the wrinkles. Pleasantly surprised how soft and well fitting they are especially can’t beat the price. I have a pillow topped, tall mattress and the fitted sheet fits easily over. If you have a thin mattress, maybe these would be too baggy? Other sheet is a great size and pillow cases are a nice big size as well. I can see how you could think these sheets have a “cooling” effect, somehow they do feel cool on your skin. I haven’t had long so I can’t speak to how they will wash and dry but may update later. Cats seem to love the new sheets as well but then again, they love all new things! ... show more

    • Texture is rough, not silky smooth like other sateen sheets

I am so disappointed in these sheets!!! Out of the box, they felt smooth to the touch like other sateen sheets. Per the instructions on these, and all, sheets, I washed them first (on warm and tumble dry low). I knew immediately when I touched the sheets to take them out of the dryer that they did not feel like my other sateen sheets. These sheets are rough! Apparently the smoothness of the sheets is just due to some chemical finishing agent applied in the manufacturing process which washes out with the first wash. Then you are left with sheets that are rough to the touch. When I went to sleep the first night after putting them on the bed, I had to get up and put on a different pillow case because the texture was so rough on my face. When I purchased the sheets, I saw that there were over 85,000 reviews averaging between 4 and 5 stars and I didn’t bother to look at any of the individual reviews. I was so shocked by the texture of these sheets that I went back to double-check my purchase thinking that maybe I had accidentally ordered the wrong sheets. I had not. If you are reading this review, fortunately for you, you are not making the same mistake of not reading the reviews. Oddly, the sheets which were supposed to be white had a very, very pale light pink tint to them (but it's barely noticeable). On the plus side, the sheets fit my mattress well (a queen pillow-top with a 1 inch memory foam topper), seemed well-constructed and I appreciated the heat/foot tag on the end. But my overall advice is do not purchase these sheets if you’re looking for the smooth feel of satin sheets. ... show more
