We bought these for a trip to the Caribbean, and they worked great. I have a Samsung Galaxy 5 and my husband has a Samsung Galaxy Note (6 I think) and our phones fit with room to spare ...including phone cases. Completely water proof, and we could use the touch screen no problem and take pictures through the window in back. I didn't notice any decrease in the quality of the photos. One thing, if you keep your phone and credit card in the case, you need to use a rubber band or something to keep the credit card from blocking the photo window. All in all, great product! Phone goes into and out of case easily. Immediately took phone out and threw into swimming pool. Floated like a fishing cork. Like the neck strap. Haven't had the case long enough to comment on the durability of the case. Phone functions well inside the case.

The media could not be loaded. I don't know if this would survivie a PWC/jetski ride. But, it handled 5-foot jump into water, submersion to a few feet while snorkeling, and splashes from waves while going around 15 knots. You can see that water drops will blur your pictures slightly. In strong wind, the drops will clear off. (Sorry...can only post one video per review.) This is Waimea falls on Oahu. The video is snorkeling while moored just of Ni'ihau. Files are straight off the camera. What you see is what you get. Samsung Galaxy S9+ , Lifeproof case (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00Z7S2D9G) , plus this CaliCase. Wanted extra protection from splashing and sand. Plus, the CalicCase floats. And has a lanyard. I was able to let go of it while snorkeling, and it just stayed floating next to my head. Great insurance to protect an expensive phone. NOTES: 1. put the phone and take it out with the open side down. When you take it out, water/sand won't fall into the opening. 2. Don't leave the phone in the case if you're not in water. It will overheat. In the water, it stays cool. ... show more

7/2017 updated update. On a whim i contacted Calicase to let them know the case was splitting. They have offered to replace it! 7/2017 update. I've had this case for almost 7 months and it now has several splits at the top seam line. I have a Nexus 6P in a Spigen very thin clear case. I'm having problems with how tightly the phone fits inside, which makes the side buttons very hard to find and press. The phone does fit, it's just tight. I love that I can take photos and video with the case on and the phone protected. I've taken video in pouring rain and it came out beautifully. ... show more

tested it for 2 minutes completely submerged. Came out totally dry inside. Fits my 6" screen phone perfectly. Comes with a nice sturdy strap and locking clip to secure it. Padded back. I have a JOTO case which is snug for my iPhone 8 w/case. I bought the Cali case because it was advertised as being bigger. Although it may be a bit longer, the mouth opening seems the same and it is no easier for me to put my iphone into it. Also, with the JOTO case I can use my iphone touch screen.     • Good for waterproofing but not good taking photos in the water

I like the case because it waterproofed my iphone 6 plus and cash nicely so I could swim and snorkel while they floated beside me. The touch pad works as long as water is not on the surface but on both an iphone and samsung phone the touch pad did NOT work while in the water. That was a disappointment because other people who purchased similar, yet cheaper, cases were able to take photos and videos while submerged. Also, the pouch's width is too small to fit a standard US passport. I'll use it again for convenience but will have to use an waterproof camera for underwater photos. ... show more
