This mic stand is a great small form factor mic stand. It has a nice telescoping boom making it very adjustable. When I play live acoustic shows the boom of a standard stand would get knocked into by partiers, I can tailor the length of the boom for a good compromise of balance and obstacle reduction. For the price point, I expected this to be lighter weight and a little flimsy. Not so! VERY happily surprised and the weight and quality of all the parts. This thing is built to last. Like that they included different mic clips. The knobs/tighteners all hold their position rock-solid after tightening. I bought four to a venue I run sound for, these worked. As good as the $50 ones out there and I like assembling them myself to make sure they are top level sturdy, used with sm58s for punk rock bands, they did above and beyond!

It’s pretty good considering the fairly cheap price tag. I use it for an overhead mic on drums. It’s a little shaky when raised high and w/ boom extended all the way out. I have a rice bag I use to add weight to the base. Works fine like that in a home studio setting, though I wouldn’t recommend it for live stuff, for that type of application. ... show more
