    • Sturdy & Good Looking TV Stand for the Money
We liked the website pictures of this product and liked it after it was assembled. That is always a good thing. Very sturdy and good value. This was used for a 50" TV, an XBox, and Wii sits prominently on the shelves along with games and DVD movies inside the cabinets. Overall nice looking. As for building, it took about 2 hours to assemble. First checked to ensure we received all the parts and further used frog tape to label each part (in case the pre-fixed labels fell off). Went through each step very very carefully. The instruction manual is clear however you MUST pay attention to detail to ensure you put each part in the correct orientation and "screws/pieces" in the right holes (they're a lot of them). Identify the parts to be used in each step, their correct orientation, and then double-check again. Assembly took 2 people (makes it easier) although it's possible that one person could do it. A couple of items to note. 1) There were two small rectangular boards (#10 & #11) that essentially act as a brace. One was not exactly cut right which made it look more like a trapezoid although it wasn't too severe. Without going into detail, I had to go back a step to make everything fit. After everything was tightened, I couldn't see the part flaw in the overall assembly. 2) Over half of the screw holes for the door hinges were pre-drilled at a slight slant. I was concerned that this could lead to either a visual problem or the hinge being "cockeyed". Screws did go in at a slight angle which meant the screw head wasn't flush to the hinge. However, I was able the keep the hinge properly squared. Surprisingly both cabinet doors hung and closed pretty darn well after some easy adjustments. Even with the doors open, can't really see the slightly angled hinge screws. So in the end, it worked itself out. Overall the TV stand looks great in the room. Instructions were very clear however one just has to go slowly during the assembly to ensure the correct part orientation and the correct holes are used. Highly recommend. ... show more

Pretty easy to put together just a bit time consuming. Came dusty which was weird & unfortunately some of the letter/number labels came off their corresponding parts but was still pretty easy to figure out what was what. The door hinges were definitely a problem. just about impossible to line up correctly & some of the screws busted through the place they were set in during the process, they really need to do something about the door hinges. Still a good deal & after the whole process feels pretty sturdy & plenty of room for a gamer. ... show more

I traveled to several brick and mortar furniture stores in search of a higher quality media stand, only to be told that most items were out of stock and deliveries were very delayed due to COVID. As I had already purchased a new TV, I needed the stand quickly, so I decided to just buy this lower cost stand, thinking that, if it turned out to be flimsy, I would replace it in the near future, when local supplies recovered. However, this piece is actually quite sturdy and it actually looks really nice too. It helps that all the main framing is metal tubing, as this adds a lot of strength, but the wood grain laminate used on the wooden parts is textured, which really helps to make it look and feel higher quality. It does take a fair bit of time to assemble, but if you follow the instructions closely, it isn't very hard. Rather than waiting at least 8 weeks for a similar item from a local furniture store, this unit was delivered 3 days after I ordered it. I liked it so well in fact, that I decided to order 2 matching end tables to put on each side of our sofa, and I'm still money ahead over what I was planning to spend on an assembled piece of furniture. ... show more

I love it! I was worried it was going to be cheap and not sturdy, but it really is perfect and exactly as I wanted it to be. Perfect size! Great price and worth it! Notes: it is very heavy especially in the box, but a good heavy in the end Putting it together wasn’t necessarily hard but it did take me 2ish hours and I had to pay close attention to the instructions I did receive a piece that looked like it was dropped on its corner, but I had unpacked everything and I didn’t see a return single piece option. Although this product was easy to put together, I had a few problems identifying the parts. This was because some of the stickers had fallen of the wood products, so the identification was a bit more difficult. On the other hand, I liked that I did not have to spend hours trying to get the stickers of the parts. I also think that the holes in the back cardboard should be knockouts, instead of actual holes. Now when I watch tv, I can see 5 holes in the back of the cabinet, until I fill the cabinet with stuff, which will probably happen. I also found that you have a lot of instructions per page. Compared to IKEA, it was a lot more difficult and less foolproof. I would not be writing this if you did not ask for it, because on the whole, I am very satisfied with the product. ... show more

I love this mid century modern style tv stand. It's ties my whole room together! Easy instructions to follow and I was able to put it together by myself in an hour. Doors took a little bit of trial and error getting them to close correctly but not rocket science and I figured it out.

At the time of putting this together, it took a little over 2 hours with a hammer and screw. The issues that I saw popping up were things like some boards being a bit smaller or larger by a few MM, and when tightening the screws towards the end, I could hear a few loud creaks and a small crack along one of the smaller boards but didn't see any damage.
