In my 78 years (well as an adult anyway), this is the first hat I have received that is too big. My concern is if I order a Large instead of Extra-Large, is it going to be too small? Love the look of the hat, just does not fit. Most of my caps have an adjustable enclosure and I always need to put the straps with 1/2 inch to spare. I've got a massive head, like 24 inch circumference massive. I've never been able to find hats that fit my head aside from beanies and other knit caps.
