  • Very easy to use and works as advertised.
Color: Red
Bought the R3X and used for the first time today. Shot my best round of the year. Practiced in the yard before heading to the course and I admit I was worried about getting distracted from golf trying to use the cart. The R3 worked great. I used it in the march mode the entire time except for a little free wheeling around some tricky greens. I never needed to use the remote control at all except for when I powered up! Went up and down hills, even steep ones, no problem at all! ... show more

  • piece of crap
Color: Black
I bought the Caddy Trek, and it did not follow or march properly it would just top when I had it follow me, and it was going all over the place. When I used it for marching it would suddenly stop and I would walk into it, which is a safety hazard also, when you "march" with it you have to do extra walking to keep it straight it was a disaster. I will stick with my MGI zip Navigator, which does not have "follow" or "march" but at least it works properly.DISHONEST SELLER ... show more

  • Mostly love this cart
Color: Black
With the unit being currently discounted from $2500 to $1900, it’s a good buy relative to other “follow me” carts I’ve seen on the market. I was pretty excited about the remote free functionality, where an open palm hand gesture in front of the camera puts it into “follow” mode. A hand gesture of an inverted “peace sign” puts it into “March” mode. This is intended to allow use of these functions without the need for the remote. After playing three rounds with the cart, I’m pretty happy overall. I will say that the remote free aspect is a bit overrated. The open palm hand gesture works 9 out of ten times, I’d say, but the inverted peace sign rarely actuates the march function. The remote is very effective in controlling both modes, and it’s not much of a hardship to have to carry it in hand. Also see my comment below about the follow function. The follow function is great, with a few drawbacks: -The camera does lose sight of you from time to time, especially on less than smooth terrain, and even more so when on rough terrain and on hills. The camera also tends to get blinded when facing a low sun. To be fair, this sun related issue is addressed in Caddytrek’s instructional videos. When operating with the camera facing the sun, it’s best to use radio control mode. -When in follow mode, I’ve started carrying the remote. The cart is so quiet, when it does lose sight of you and stop, you can find yourself 40-50 yards ahead and looking back at a stopped cart. In this situation, having the remote in hand to switch to radio control mode and have it catch up is better than an 80 yard round trip to retrieve the cart. I’ve stopped using follow mode unless on the fairway for the most part. Even with the remote in hand, pace of play suffers as you wait for the cart to catch up in RC mode. -You need to be aware that the camera needs you in view to follow properly. You can’t put it in follow mode, then take a sharp turn out of view. Wide slow turns work best, especially when starting out. A bit of practice with the unit, and a bit of forethought as to positioning of the unit for your next move helps. -I’ve found that if you stop abruptly, the cart has a tendency to bounce into you. A bit of practice and you learn to slow then stop. March mode: -I’m not a big fan of the march mode. I’ll keep at it, maybe it’s a matter of more practice. To turn right, you move left, and vice versa. I find that it tends to have a lag in responding, and I’m constantly course-correcting, which results in me looking like I’ve been overserved. -In march mode, the unit stays pretty close in front of you (unlike follow mode where depending on your walking speed it follows about 10 yards behind). I find that every few steps, it slows down briefly, interrupting your walking stride. Radio Control Mode: -This function is solid. Speed control is responsive, as is turning. For these reasons, I’ve stopped using march mode for the most part. Manual mode: -Getting into manual mode (wheels turn freely for tight spots where you want to push the cart) is easy, just tilt the cart handle down. Getting out of this mode involves tilting again. I find it less responsive getting out of manual via tilt action, but with remote in hand just hit stop and you’re out. Each time I’ve used the cart, I’ve gotten a little better at understanding its strengths and limitations. I mostly love it. Time will tell how durable the technology is. ... show more

  • Actually makes walking easy!
Color: Red
Love this unit- it’s smart. Takes a bit of practice but the hand gestures let you play without a remote. Very functional and battery lasts a full 18 with lots of hills along the way. Better than expected. Only downside is my wife wants one…

  • THE BEST motorized cart. Period.
Color: Black
Not sure how I stumbled across this cart, because ads for it are not particularly prevalent. However, saw a few videos of it in action and was convinced. So far have played 18 with it. This cart makes golf exceptionally enjoyable. My golf game aside, it was the most fun I’d had on the course other than having a caddy. The remote is not required for use, which as far as I’m aware, is unique. You get to walk the course like you have a caddy (no tip required!). Look around, enjoy the scenery while you play. Admire your shot or plan your next one without worrying about your cart. Hit an approach on the green? Grab your putter and walk like it’s the final round of a televised tournament. The experience is awesome. It also folds into quite a compact space, particularly relative to other motorized and remote controlled carts. Better priced too. Cannot recommend this cart strongly enough for my fellow hoofers who enjoy playing the game as it was meant to be played. ... show more
