Great bag. Looks durable and is padded and made with heavy thick fabric. It's a great organizing piece of equipment for cables, microphones, this and that. I used to use a medium sized Samsonite suitcase and everything always got tangled and jumbled up. This bag holds the gear in place, always stays right side up (unlike a suitcase which is packed on its side but carried vertically). It's worth the money if you value light weight and convenience as I do. I wrote the above review after using the bag very little.     • Fabulous Product, Worth the Money!
Got this as a gift for a musician for Christmas.. Very good quality, good looking bag. Helped tremendously with organization of all cables and other equipment (mics, iPads, etc.). While it lists the size, I had no idea how actually big it would be. It is the PERFECT size bag for all the mic cables and such a musician traveling to and from gigs would need, plus some.     • This Cable Bag Will Save Your Time
As a gigging musician working 2-3 nights a week, this cable bag really saves time. I used to carry all my cables in a small roller bag. It worked okay but I always seemed to be digging to find the cable I needed. With this Cable File bag, every cable comes out and goes back in order. Lots of side pockets too for strings, my CD's, etc. Lots of reviewers complained about the zippers. I agree the zippers jammed on corners and weren't smooth. I recommend rubbing the zipper teeth on both sides with plain Chapstick. After applying a thin amount, work the zippers back and forth a few times. Mine work great now. If you're looking to cut down your setup and tear down time, get this bag! It's also available in a smaller version if you have less cables you're working with. Overall construction is solid. I had to trim a piece of the liner because it was snagging in the zipper. Other than that and lubing the zippers, it's ready to gig with immediately. ... show more

    • Do yourself a favour, buy it!
I thought a bag for cables would be easy to find. You know? Like how many musicians have a ton of cables to carry around? There must be a demand right? Well, apparently not. This bag was the only one that fit the bill when I went looking for a solution to my cable problem. Here is what the cable bag holds for me: - Speaker A power cable - Speaker A XLR cable - Speaker B power cable - Speaker B XLR cable - Desk power cable - Mic lead - Guitar lead - Power long extension cable - Power 7-way extension cable - PAR light A - PAR light A power cable - PAR light B - PAR light B power cable - Mic - Spare mic - Another spare mic - Looper pedal - Side pockets hold my looper pedal power and connection leads There are still more pockets and space to hold other stuff which I’m not even using yet. This is not just a handy bag. It has literally cut my gig setup and teardown time in half. Having all my cables in exactly the right place and the same place each time means a much faster setup and teardown. Also, because I need less bags/cases it means that my ‘carrys’ in an out of the venue have been reduced by a factor of 3 trips (Up to 12 trips saved per gig if you count beginning and end of gig plus empty journeys back to the car in between trips!) So, in summary, this bag has made a huge difference to me. I live in Europe and had to buy this from Amazon.com and have it shipped here so it was much more expensive for me, but still worth every penny spent. I am more than delighted with it and I reccomend it to any musician/DJ who carrys lots of cables and bits and bobs. It is also sturdy, has a comfortable carry handle and a shoulder strap which means you could carry it on your shoulder and take two other items at the same time if you wished. I’ve owned this bag for Seven months and it’s already falling apart. It seems to be made from very durable fabric and offers good protection, but the stitching is terrible and will not hold up. I’m a working musician and I have NOT misused the bag at all. I use it only for carrying XLR cables. The pictures attached are from where I’ve tried sewing it back together on Two occasions. When it’s no longer usable (and that likely won’t be long) I’ll probably try a Gator or SKB. It’s a nice looking bag and would work perfectly For my needs, but the craftsmanship is not good. ... show more

    • The Good and the not so Good
I don't often provide reviews regarding products purchased on Amazon, however thought in this case I'd do so. The Good: This bag is great for organizing my musical chords. I play in a band and having a bag to organize my instrument cables, XLR mic cables and various other related items was a must. So regarding being able to organize my cables, the bag is great. The individual pockets are plenty big enough to hold my 20' - 25' long music cables. I also like the two small zipper pockets on the front, and long pockets on the back. The Not So Good: The zippers, well, they just plain suck. The first week I used this bag, BOTH zippers on the top opening broke, meaning they pulled out of the track so I cannot zip the bag closed. I didn't have that issue with the other small pockets but having the main zippers not work is a real PITA. This is the primary reason for giving this bag an overall 3 star review. I should have sent it back however sometimes it's another PITA to do that so I'll most likely find someone to fix the zippers and pay more $ that I shouldn't have to. ... show more
