I purchased these to do a neat wire installation of a GPS on a large farm tractor. As it was near to impossible to conceal the wiring, I went with a surface wire plan. I used quite a few of these, as I did not want the wire to sag and become unsightly. Any application areas were first cleaned with a 50% solution of isopropyl alcohol. As I have used similar products before with marginal results, I was cautiously skeptical. Let me tell you - make sure you have these in the exact place you want them before sticking down, because they really stick! Although I didn’t try, I’m not sure you could just pull them off - scraping would most likely be the preferred method. They are small enough to fit everywhere yet strong enough to hold the associated wiring harnesses for the GPS system. Service and price were great also. And of the 40-50 of these that I used, not one issue with a pad or a cable tie. If there is any complaint, it is that it was hard for my fat fingers to peel the backing from a little 3/4” square! Great product UPDATE: The adhesive is sticky - sticks to the surface. However, it doesn't stick to the plastic mount. Every one that I installed has fallen off. Every one. I refastened them, they stuck, went back a day later, all fell off. If you need them to adhere for a couple of weeks only, these are great. But if you intend them to be permanent, look elsewhere because these don't work.

I am so impressed with these simple things that I am writing this review. I used several dozen of these to hold/control some 120V electrical cable. I wanted to route the cabling onto the vertical section of a steel I-beam that holds up the ceiling on my porch. So it is an outdoor application, but sheltered from direct exposure to rain. First, I brushed the entire length of the beam, then I scrubbed it with Mr. Clean and let it dry. After that I started putting up the cable tie mounts. The 3M adhesive foam is easy to use and appears to have lots of adhesion. After I mounted one of these, I put a 4 inch cable tie through it (vertically) and used it to secure the horizontal run of lighting cable that I was installing. The fact that these adhesive mounts are square and the cable tie can be put through either horizontally or vertically is a big plus. There were plenty of the mounts in my order and I will definitely use them again.

Since COVID I ended up redoing my office and doing some cable management. The sticky zip tie anchors I had previously had all but come undone from the weight of the cables/movement due to my standing desk. When I bought these, I accidentally ordered the 0.75 inch version as opposed to the 1.1in -- I decided to keep them anyway and try using them with this loom of wires. I really did not think they would hold, but here we are a few weeks later and they are still holding strong. Make sure you pay attention to the size that's selected before you check out...but honestly even the smaller size has really strong adhesion!

Worked for what I needed them for but the adhesive has to be in the perfect scenario it seems. I had to run a temporary extension cord from the house to the detached garage and I secured it along our fence and some siding. The siding it’s held up great and felt secure but some parts of the fence they wouldn’t stick at all. I would pay a little more if these were made with a much stronger adhesive, but for the price point they get the job done. I should also mention that they are tiny unless you get the big sizes. *Update 02/15/20* None of the mounts stuck to the fencing after about a day. We went on a weekend trip and I have a camera on our back yard and the cord was on the ground the day after installing. Would not recommend for anything other than siding or anything that’s not flat if being used outside.

I bought these to tidy up the area behind my motherboard. I was already a big believer in using cable ties in my builds. Unfortunately, many of the cases I build in lack adequate tie down points. So, I am sticking these exactly where I want them and using them to anchor my bundled cables in exactly the spots I want so the bundles follow the neatest possible path. I think 100 of these for $7 is a great value; they cost about four times as much in my local computer and electronics store. The adhesive is exactly the right strength. It is strong enough to make my bundles stay put and weak enough that I am not going to peel paint if I need to re-route for some reason. Protip: Before you tighten your tie wrap all the way down, rotate your tie wrap so that the head is between your cables and the mounting surface. Then, tighten all the way down and cut off the excess with wire cutters. Optimum neatness achieved!

Have only used a couple so far, but they work as they should. Mounting tape seems sufficient but only time will tell. They are a bit smaller than I thought but will hold larger tie straps and will work for everything I need them to.

We purchased this product because it came with zip ties. However, about 1/3 of the ties were brittle and broke as soon as they were used. The mounts, however, have been excellent so far...just wish the ties weren't so old...
