I bought this because I needed a single outlet for power in an area where I have been using a power strip. The power strip cord was a bit too short, which left it in the way all of the time. I finally got tired of that setup and bought these to fix the situation. I could not be happier about my choice! The 'Low Profile' plug is great because it fits close to the wall and allows the cord portion to go straight down to the baseboard, which keeps it out of the way. Then I pushed the flat side of the cord in the small gap between the edge of the carpet and baseboard to keep that out of the way. Finally, I ran it to the destination and it worked out perfectly. While there is extra cord now, I had room for it at the destination and it is stored safe there and completely out of the way. I read all of the current reviews before purchasing this item. I was concerned about some of the comments, but those concerns turned out to be unfounded. The cord is easy to bend and it is easy enough to work the existing bends out of it when you take it out of the package and start to use it. It also bends nicely and holds its shape pretty well when going around corners. The other concern was about how tight the contacts were in the end opposite the part that plugged into the wall. I tested it with several items including an iPad charger, an iPhone charger that came with my first generation iPhone SE, and my vacuum cleaner (though I would never run that on the end of an extension cord, it pulls too much current!). Every item plugged in firmly and retention was great. To this point I never realized I didn't take the protective clear film that's around the outside of my iPhone charger off, but I figured that out when I tried to pull it out of the end of this extension cord. It slipped right off and startled me a bit because I didn't expect something to pull away while leaving that adapter fully plugged into the extension cord. All I can say is that the cord works perfectly and I am very happy with it. In addition to that, because it was a 2 pack I have a spare to use later on for a different project, should one arise. I definitely recommend these cords and consider them a good value at the current price of $18.99. They are aesthetically pleasing and perform their function perfectly. At this point I cannot comment on their durability as I've only been using the one for about a week. It is in an area where it isn't likely to be moved since I consider it semi-permanent short of having to hire an electrician, so it should last forever!

I have to keep my washer/dryer in the kitchen due to living in an older building that is majorly lacking power outlets. For years, my dryer would stay unplugged and any time I needed it, I would set up a very hazardous power strip across the kitchen floor to plug in the dryer behind the refrigerator (one of only 2 outlets in my whole kitchen). Having to plug that in and take it down was exhausting, not to mention a constant tripping hazard right in the kitchen doorway. I finally got the idea to set up a “permanent” power source for my dryer so it can remain plugged in with no need to trip my family members. This cord was perfect for the job. The flat design made it possible to mount it flush with the doorframe across the doorway to its destination behind the refrigerator using plastic mounting clips. The cord is now discreetly out of the way, can handle the voltage needed to keep the dryer running, and I can use my dryer much more quickly. I guess I have no excuse not to do laundry now! I will definitely purchase this again the next time I need an indoor extension cord.

Ever since I suffered a traumatic brain injury several years ago which required surgery and a lengthy hospitalization, I’ve been paranoid about hitting my head again. While my accident was outside the home, I should have been more cognizant on how often we do tasks that we don’t think about the risks of, such as crawling under tables to reach an electric outlet. My newly purchased winter condo built in the early ‘60s is lacking in outlets. While the prior owners upgraded the kitchen, there are many areas where I need extension cords, and have been buying an assortment of attractive cords and “power cubes” to plug into these so that the outlets are more easily reachable — but I am ordering cords short enough where they don’t become a tripping hazard. These two cords were long enough to plug my computer in at several locations without stretching but short enough to be out of the way by the tables. And the few inches that are visible look more attractive than what a cheap extension cord would show.
