The media could not be loaded. This wine fridge is a definite upgrade to our older one. I’m so happy with the look of it and its performance, it has so many nice features! The temperature is easy to control with the smart touch screen control. It can be controlled for the perfect temperature for white wines on the top, 40° to 55°F , and red wines on the bottom with a temperature range of 50°F- 59°F. I love being able to precisely choose the temp for each kind as the temperature of wine makes a world of difference for taste! The temp can be selected on the sensor touch panel, as well as turning on and off the super cool blue lighting for inside, amber and white can be chosen as well. The lighting gives it a fun and modern look. This wine cooler holds up to 46 bottles of wine with no problem, 16 on the top and 30 on the bottom which is great for me because I prefer red wine. It is nice to always have some white wine chilled and ready for guests though. The shelves allow you to house larger bottles up to 750 ml. This is one thing that I didn’t like about my previous cooler, it would only fit 600 ml. Being able to fit the smaller and larger bottles is nice as sometimes my favorites cannot be found in the smaller bottles. The wooden shelves that house the bottles slide in and out very smoothly for ease of access and also can be removed for easy cleaning. The shelving is very sturdy and also moisture proof. In searching, the looks of this unit is what attracted us; the reviews were very positive and so we purchased it and did not disappoint. We live in the San Francisco Bay Area and it was delivered in 4 days via Fedex Ground. It’s a great value for the price, looks and feels high-end. The fit and finish is perfect and well put together. It’s very handsome looking just as shown on Amazon. The operation is very quiet just as some reviewers indicated. The wooden (good quality solid wood, nicely finished) shelves slide easily and bottles fit in nicely. I put in a bulky Champagne bottle (after adjusting the shelf without any hazzle) and it fit with room to spare. We purchased the additional warranty just in case, doesn’t cost much. Have had the refrigerator setup for about a month now. So far it is wonderful, it cools, the LED lighting that you can change or turn off, and the size. It’s also quite. Another great feature is the door is reversible It can be mounted to open either way. My only issue is if you put 16oz bottles in there, you have to either fill the shelf completely or if you don’t the bottles will fall over when slide the shelf out to reach something in the back. When I pull the shelf out I do it slowly. Otherwise it seems for now to be a great refrigerator. Hope it last as long as well as it looks . ... show more

    • Nice fridge. Misleading description
This is a very nice and quiet wine fridge. My old one died after 8 years. it only held 12 bottles of wine, so this one was an upgrade. It came in a few days, in perfect condition. It does NOT, however, hold 28 bottle of any type of wine I've ever purchased. None of my bottles, from various stores would stack the way they said they would. They were all too fat or too long. I could put one in back and three up front. This significantly reduced the amount of wine I could cool. That being said, it holds more than my old one did, and it holds bigger bottles like Champaign. But, only side by side. I don't know what bottles were used for them to say it holds 28. I would love to know. Regular sized wine bottles bought in the grocery store were clearly not used. Aside from this, it's a very nice fridge and the different lights are cool. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Great, solid little wine fridge at a good price. It has a classy high end look and smooth non clattering racks. We had been storing wine in a small built in wine fridge and also at room temp, cause no more space on our wine cooler, but ordering a two cases of wine for the upcoming holidays pushed us to finally take better care of our wine and get a bigger fridge. We looked at everything, and finally settled on this quality, well-priced unit, believe me we look locally a fridge like this was over $1500. Holds its temp, holds a good number of bottles for us (capacity depends on size of bottle, of course), not too noisy when compressor goes on (though you do hear it). The shelves are nice and sturdy, glide nicely. Quiet. Closes easily, feels sturdy compared to other brands. . Also of note, it can be used standalone or built-in. All in all we are very happy with the retractable shelves that are very nice. Also, it is a very quiet unit. I am really impressed by the temperature accuracy. I measured the temps top, middle and bottom shelves and all were within one degree of the set temperature. It looks very high end for a lower cost! I would recommend to a friend. ... show more

I purchased this wine refrigerator because of its appearance and capacity. It is a very good looking refrigerator because it has a much smaller grill at the bottom when compared to others of the same size. It has 3 different inside light settings and nice wooden racks. Control panel is easy to use and the panel lights go off after closing the refrigerator. I prefer the single zone refrigerator over the dual zone versions. It cools my wine within a couple of degrees of the temperature setting. It makes a minimal amount of noise. All in all a great wine refrigerator whether free standing or built in under a counter. ... show more

    • The Noise is Horrendous!

This fridge started making constant fan noise after a few months. I emailed Ca’Lafont and they asked for a recording. I sent it. They said they would get back to me in 24 hours and sent the video to their engineers. No further contact. I emailed them 3 more times. No response. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND HORRIBLE PRODUCT. Time to buy a new one because I cant have this loud horrible noise all the time in my home. Hope the next one lasts longer than 2 months. ... show more
