I thought this buffer was a bit heavy overall. But the motor seems rugged enough. It vibrates and spins well, even when putting pressure down. It polishes up real well. I'm finding that I don't need the side handle, and that the top handle is most useful. The on off button is easily accessible, and large and easy to switch. But not so easy that it can be flipped on accident. I haven't noticed any overheating. Although I only use it in spurts. Apply wax, buff a small area, turn off, and wipe off. Rinse and repeat.

I read reviews on this polisher and had lots of doubts, but I bought it anyway on Prime day. It got here relatively quick and when I opened the box, I was greeted by a fairly hefty machine. I have a Porter Cable 7424 and a 7346 and this machine seems about the same, perhaps a little more powerful. My PCs are about 15 years old and 10 years old. The 15 year old one had a fraying electrical cord, so I bought the Chantpower just in case. I rewired the PC and it works fine. Back to back, they perform the same tasks well, but the Chantpower is a little noisier with a little more vibration. However, I typically run the PC at 4-6, whereas the Chantpower was run at 2-3. Some people have said the Chantpower did not work out of the box and that was what worried me. I ran it and there was no problem. With a foam pad and wax pressed into the car, the motor starts up slower than the PC, but speed builds quickly. I have used it once, so I cannot attest to its durability. It seems hefty enough and it came with spare brushes.

I was impressed how easy it was to use and how it seemed to be better than expected for the low price. Hopefully it continues to work well and lasts a while. Customer service also answered a question in a very timely manner.

I have use this machine to buff out a hood & strip a floor in two rooms. It worked great, quite and plenty of power. Should be a good sander too.

Feels well built. Orange pad separated from its Velcro backing half way through the job. Stopped rotating with the slightest amount of pressure applied and only got worse the more I used it. Seems to vibrate a little more extremely than others. Good bang for the buck for small light duty jobs. I was not satisfied at all and have had the issue resolved. Thanks Amazon!

First time buyer of a dual action polisher. I bought this one to compare to a more expensive brand tool. After trying both I have to say this CP Chant power is much more powerful and runs cooler than the other brand. It did not bog and stall while doing the same work as the more expensive brand. Am keeping this one and returning the other one.
