  • Affordable dumbbell
Size: 50LB Single Unit Number of Items: 1
These are the cheapest adjustable dumbbells I could find. The one I bought ranges from 10 lb to 50 lb, but you could do half-way increments 15, 25, 35, and 45 if you select one side to be higher than the other. This will give you an imbalanced dumbbell. At least the option is there if balance doesn't matter much for the specific exercise. The weights jostle slightly when in use, and I'm a bit concerned about accidentally pulling the tab during exercise and dropping a plate. This product does not have a "dock lock" where the dumbbell needs to be docked to unlock the weights. So far, my workaround has been to rotate the dumbbell such that the pull tabs face away from the body and clothing such that it's highly improbable to accidentally loosen a plate. The plates are lubricated, and I assume you'll need to apply lubrication if sliding becomes stiff at some point. Packaging used styrofoam and seems adequate. Overall I'm happy with this product. ... show more

  • The Last Dumbbell Set You'll Ever Need to Buy
Size: 55LB Single Unit Number of Items: 1
I've been lifting for over a decade and have owned everything from cheap plastic-coated dumbbells to expensive rack systems that ate up half my garage. The BYZOOM FITNESS Classic Series 55LB Adjustable Dumbbell has fundamentally changed how I think about home gym equipment — and not just because it works, but because it works brilliantly. Build Quality and Design The moment you pick this up, the solid cast iron core tells you everything you need to know about its construction. There's no hollow feeling, no flex, no rattle — just dense, reassuring weight that feels like it's built to outlast everything else in your gym. The matte black finish is understated and professional, and after several months of regular use it still looks sharp with no chipping or fading. The 12-sided polygonal anti-roll base is one of those design decisions that sounds minor on paper but becomes indispensable in practice. Set it down on a bench, the floor, or a rack and it stays exactly where you put it. No more chasing a dumbbell that's rolled under the bench mid-set. The Patented Secure System BYZOOM's 5-in-1 adjustment system (on the 55LB configuration) is fast, intuitive, and — most importantly — secure. The locking mechanism clicks into place with a satisfying firmness that inspires confidence. I've done everything from controlled slow-tempo sets to explosive movements and the weight has never shifted or felt unstable. That security is the single biggest thing that separates this from lesser adjustable systems where you're constantly second-guessing the lock. Weight Range and Versatility Covering five distinct weight increments up to 55 pounds, this single dumbbell replaces an entire rack of fixed weights. Warm-up sets, hypertrophy work, strength progressions — everything is covered. Transitioning between weights takes seconds, which keeps rest periods tight and workouts efficient. Real-World Daily Use My typical session: grab the dumbbells, dial to a lighter weight for warm-up, bump up for working sets, drop back down for burnout volume at the end. The adjustment system is smooth enough to do this between sets without breaking rhythm. I use these for presses, rows, curls, lateral raises, Romanian deadlifts, and goblet squats — they perform flawlessly across all of it. Space Savings I replaced a 10-dumbbell rack with two of these. The footprint is about the size of a shoe box per dumbbell. For anyone training in an apartment, spare bedroom, or modest garage gym, that space recovery is genuinely life-changing. Minor Considerations At heavier weights, the dumbbell is somewhat longer than a fixed dumbbell of equivalent weight, which can feel slightly different on exercises like dumbbell bench press where the ends may contact your thighs on the way up. It's an easy adjustment and becomes second nature quickly. Also, the 55LB ceiling may eventually feel limiting if you're an advanced lifter pressing heavy — but for the vast majority of home gym users, it's more than sufficient. Value Assessment Quality adjustable dumbbells are not cheap, and the BYZOOM sits at a fair price point for what it delivers. Compare it against buying even a modest fixed dumbbell rack and the math favors the BYZOOM decisively — both in cost and in space. For a long-term home gym investment, this is money well spent. Final Verdict The BYZOOM FITNESS Classic Series 55LB Adjustable Dumbbell delivers on every front: premium materials, a secure and fast adjustment system, an anti-roll base that's more useful than it sounds, and enough weight range to support a complete training program. It's the kind of equipment that makes you wonder why you waited so long to buy it. Recommendation: Strong Buy for anyone building or upgrading a home gym. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned lifter, this is the dumbbell set to get. ... show more

  • Fantastic for the Price, But Get Their Pure Series Instead
Size: 55LB Single Unit Number of Items: 1
Fantastic affordable dumbbell! This dumbbell stands out from the rest around the $150-$250 (single) price range by offering: - Dynamic sizing: dumbbell is smaller at lighter weights and not always full length and unwieldy like many others - Some 2.5lb increments - Large flat ends - easy to rest on thighs and move into place to start a set - Fast and smooth changing mechanism - Balanced feel in the hand - Minimal rattle/noise during use, very secure plates - Solid weight range of 10-55lbs - Iron plates and reasonable durability for the price It uses a simple adjustment mechanism where you just pull the adjustment tab up and then slide to the desired weight slot on both sides of the dumbbell. This gives you 10-50lb in 10lb increments very quickly and locks in with a satisfying click. Then inside the handle you've got 2 adjustment knobs (one on each side) to engage either one or two 1.25lb adder plates that give you 2.5lb or 5lb increments on top of those 10lb main increments. Also very tactile and easy to feel. The shape of the plates/dumbbell is helpful to prevent rolling. Only things holding it back from 5 stars is: - Lack of 7.5lb increment weights (ex: it goes 10, 12.5, 15, 20 - no 17.5lb weight). Seems like this could be fixed by changing the small adder plates to be 1.25 and 2.5lb per-side on each dumbbell rather than just 2x1.25lbs. Then the adjustment mechanism can engage only the 1.25lbs, 2.5lbs, or both to give you 2.5lb, 5lb, or 7.5lb increments. - Minor difficulty placing dumbbell back into cradle when not using 2.5lb or 5lb increments. Since the adder weights are still there they can easily get knocked over when placing a heavy dumbbell back. - Weight labels are on the cradle and don't line up perfectly with the 10lb adjustment increment slots. - Labels are also a bit far which makes it hard to tell which weight you're choosing. If they were closer to where you slide the adjuster or even labeled on the dumbbell themselves that would be ideal. - Handle is not knurled and just plastic not metal, not the best feeling but it works - 10lb increment adjustment tab sticks out and can bump you during some exercises like deep presses, would be nice if it rested flush with the body of the weight plates - Offer a heavier 75lb+ version - Dumbbells are a bit large, but this is typical for adjustables Some of these downsides are addressed in the ByZoom Pure Series which I think is a slight upgrade over this Classic model, but they don't seem to offer a 55lb Pure variant anymore. If you can afford it, I think the 75lb Pure model is basically the best budget adjustable dumbbell out right now (mid-2026). Overall though this is still one of the best affordable adjustable dumbbells on the market, gives you the advantages of more expensive offerings like the NordicTrack Select-a-Weight or Core Fitness while costing less. ... show more

  • Incredible Value and Durability BYZOOM FITNESS Classic Series 55LB Adjustable Dumbbell Incredible Value and Durability BYZOOM FITNESS Classic Series 55LB Adjustable Dumbbell
Size: 55LB Single Unit Number of Items: 1
I have been using spinlock collar dumbbells and olympic loadable dumbbells for decades but now everyone is making adjustable dumbbells so I was very excited to get this to review. My current setup has been hexbells in pairs of 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 lbs and then spin lock collars using standard (1" inch plates) for pairs of 35, 40, 45 and 50 lbs and finally olympic loadable dumbbell handles (two pair) for anything heavier or any moves where spinlock collars seem iffy to use. Although this is my first dumbbell of this type I have watched countless reviews of other similar products so I knew what to look for when I got this. Many versions are available by this company to order. I received the 55 lb adjustable dumbbell. The advantages of this style dumbbell are 1) the cost savings versus individual pairs of dumbbells 2) the space savings versus needing a rack and about 5 feet of wall space to accommodate them 3) the quick change ability of these versus using loadable dumbbell handles. One disadvantage of this particular dumbbell is the size of them. These are longer than what you would grab if using light weight dumbbells. These are however the same size when you use them at their heaviest weight as their lightest weight so you can get used to this. In comparison these are still shorter than my olympic loadable dumbbells which are 20 inches long. I like the weight plates used on these adjustable dumbbells since they are sturdy (made of cast iron) and rubber coated making them scratch resistant. The case they sit in is required to be used to allow the weight plates to align properly for adjustments of weight be used. The case is plastic so carefully set the dumbbells in them, do not slam them or the case will most likely develop cracks in it over time. I like the quick adjustment mechanism on these dumbbells. Just lift the flap on each side to the desired weight and then press it down in place. The instructions state to make them even on both sides for this to work. Most adjustable dumbbells do not have 5 lb capabilities but this one does which is super nice. It does this by having you spin a quick dial to add 2.5 lbs per side. Again both sides must match. This is a patented design of theirs and allows you to go from any 10 lb increments to 15 lb increments. As an example you could go from 20 lbs to 25 lbs. It would be cool if they said it was okay to do the 2.5 lb increase on just one side giving you even more weight options even though it would be lopsided but I am still greatful for the 5 lb weight increases. You might be able to add 2.5 lb adder weights made by other companies to clip onto the handles or magnetic ones to fit on the ends of these dumbbells but I do not have them to test with. I also like that the ends are flat so they are comfortable to rest on your knees between sets when seated. Not all dumbbells are flat at the ends. In summary these are great! They combine the best of many expensive brands technology all into one adjustable dumbbell. You get the slide lever like a very trusted yet expensive brand offers on one of their adjustable dumbbells, you get the dial for quick change for the 5 lb weight increases which is typically used instead for the entire weight adjustments, you get metal weight plates with plastic coating to prevent wear and tear. Yes the case is cheap so be careful with it, but the dumbbells themselves are very well done. Most people will not need heavier dumbbells than these but will like the cost savings and space savings that these provide. One thing to keep in mind though is that these can be ordered individually (like I received) or as a pair. You will want a pair so you can do many more exercises than what can be performed with just one. I ordered a second one so I will now have a pair of them. At only $130 per dumbbell this is a great price. One last thing to mention is that this company also makes a tall stand for these and even offers a much heavier version of this if needed. They even use this weight changing patented technology for adjustable kettlebells too. ... show more

  • Space-Saving Adjustable 10 to 55 lb Dumbbell with Smooth and Secure Weight Adjustments Space-Saving Adjustable 10 to 55 lb Dumbbell with Smooth and Secure Weight Adjustments
Size: 55LB Single Unit Number of Items: 1
We already own a different smaller adjustable dumbbell from this brand, so when my husband wanted something heavier that could still match the weight of our existing one, this 55 lb version made perfect sense. This brand has been reliable for us and seems to make good quality equipment, so we felt comfortable sticking with it. The dumbbell itself weighs 10 lbs, and you can add plates in 2.5 lb increments all the way up to 55 lbs. It comes with four 2.5 lb plates and eight 10 lb plates in total, with two of the smaller plates and four of the larger plates on each side of the dumbbell, so you can quickly increase or decrease the weight during your workouts and have a wide range of weight options. The polygonal shape also keeps it from rolling, which makes it easy to set down between sets. The weight adjustment system is different from our smaller dumbbell, but it is just as easy. In my video you can see how the rotating dial buttons on the inside let you add or remove the small 2.5 lb plates, and the larger plates unlock with the top pin that lifts up and clicks into the plate you want. Once everything is locked in, the plates stay secure and don’t shift around while lifting. My husband can match the weight of our 25 lb dumbbell and use them as a pair, or he can load this one up for heavier single‑arm exercises. I can use it at the lighter settings, so it works well for both of us. Because it is an adjustable dumbbell with removable plates, you do have to be a little more careful when setting it down. You can’t drop it the way you might with a solid fixed weight, but that is a small tradeoff for how much weight range you get in one compact piece. It takes up far less space than having a whole lineup of individual dumbbells on the floor, which is a big advantage in our home gym. The only thing I don’t love is the base. It is made from lightweight plastic, and because it is so light, it tends to slide a bit when you lift the dumbbell out of it. Since the dumbbell and plates get very heavy when fully loaded, I’m also hoping the plastic base holds up well over time and doesn’t crack from the weight. The tray does have molded slots for each plate size, which is helpful because the plates only fit correctly when they are facing the right direction. A few times I set a plate in backwards and it wouldn’t drop into the slot or line up with the dumbbell. The tray makes it obvious when something is turned the wrong way, so once you get used to it, it becomes second nature. It also came with a user guide and a weight training chart with tips for 3 different training methods: pyramid sets, drop sets, and supersets. Overall, this is a great addition to our home setup. It gives both of us the range we need without cluttering the room with multiple dumbbells. The adjustment system is simple, the plates stay secure, and the compact size makes it easy to store. Even with the lightweight base, the value and versatility make it a strong choice for anyone who wants a wide range of weight options in one piece of equipment. ... show more

  • Great Set of Dumbbells!
Size: 50LB Single Unit Number of Items: 1
I’ve been using these adjustable dumbbells for a while now, and they’ve completely transformed my home workout setup. One of the biggest highlights is the adjustable weight system. With multiple weight settings (ranging roughly from 10 up to 50/55 lbs depending on the version), it replaces several sets of traditional dumbbells in one compact design. This makes it incredibly convenient for progressing through different exercises without needing a full rack of weights. I can easily switch from lighter curls to heavier presses in seconds, which keeps my workouts efficient and uninterrupted. The adjustment mechanism itself feels smooth, secure, and well designed. It’s quick to change weights, and once locked in, everything feels stable and solid. The patented system and build quality give me confidence that the plates won’t shift or loosen during use, which is a huge deal for safety and peace of mind. Another feature I really appreciate is the anti roll design. The 12 sided shape keeps the dumbbells from rolling around on the floor. This is especially important during intense workouts or when setting them down between sets. Combined with the included storage tray, everything stays neat, organized, and easy to access. The construction is also top notch. The solid cast iron core with protective coating feels durable and built to last, while the handle provides a comfortable, secure grip. Even during longer sessions, they feel balanced and easy to control. You can tell these were designed with both beginners and more experienced lifters in mind. I also love how compact they are. Living space matters, and these take up far less room than a full dumbbell set. Essentially, they replace multiple pairs of weights while keeping everything clean and clutter free. It’s perfect for a home gym or even a small apartment setup. These dumbbells are ideal for anyone serious about strength training at home, whether you’re just getting started or looking to upgrade your equipment. In the future, I plan to purchase another dumbbell set from this brand, and I highly recommend this set to anyone that is considering this item. ... show more

  • Love my new weights Love my new weights
Size: 50LB Single Unit Number of Items: 1
I’ve been slowly transitioning my garage into a functional workout space, and the biggest hurdle has always been the footprint of a full rack of dumbbells. I decided to pull the trigger on the BYZOOM FITNESS Classic Series 55lb pair about a month ago to replace a messy pile of individual weights. After four weeks of heavy use, including everything from slow bicep curls to high-intensity renegade rows, I’m genuinely impressed with how professional these feel. Build Quality and "Clank-Free" Lifting One of my biggest gripes with cheaper adjustable dumbbells is the constant rattling sound when you move them. These use a solid cast iron core with a nylon coating, and the patented dovetail locking system really lives up to the hype. When you lift them, the plates stay tightly fitted and silent. There is zero shifting or "clanking" even during explosive movements like snatches. The grip is also well-textured; it doesn't get slippery when your hands start to sweat during a long set. Speed and Ergonomics The 1-second weight selection is a game changer for drop sets. You just pull the pin and slide it to your desired weight (10, 20, 30, 40, or 50 lbs). It’s much faster than the dial-style adjustables I’ve used in the past. Another huge plus is the adjustable length. Many adjustable dumbbells stay at their maximum length even if you are only lifting 10 lbs, which makes them feel bulky and awkward for things like overhead presses. These actually shorten as you drop weight, so they feel much more like a traditional fixed dumbbell and don't bang into your shoulders or chest during tight movements. The Pros: Stable Base: The 12-sided polygonal plates are fantastic for floor work. They don't roll away when you transition into push-ups or rows. Compact Footprint: It replaces five sets of dumbbells while taking up less space than a single pair of 50s would on the floor. Durable Feel: The cast iron core gives it a "heavy-duty" weight distribution that feels much better than plastic-filled alternatives. Safety First: The locking mechanism feels incredibly secure; I never worry about a plate slipping out overhead. The Cons: Width: At the full 55lb setting, they are a bit wider than a standard pro-style dumbbell, so you might have to adjust your stance slightly for some movements. Pin Alignment: You have to make sure the plates are perfectly seated in the base for the pin to slide back in smoothly. If you're in a huge rush, you might have to give them a quick nudge to line everything up. Overall, if you are looking to get serious about home strength training but don't have the room for a massive weight tree, these are a top-tier investment. They feel built to last and provide a very "gym-quality" experience right in your house. Very easy to use with great versatility. ... show more
