These are my first pottery molds. I have made some bowls and plates using other found objects but there are a lot of limitations to that approach. These are really well made and the shape is very nice. I'm glad I came across these to introduce me to this method of making ceramics. These are a pleasure to use because the wood feels so soft and is so nicely sanded. The handle is interchangeable so they only had to make one and so each mold takes up less space in my studio which is quickly filling. These are great. ... show more

    • High quality Pottery molds. Kinda small.
These Pottery molds are pretty nice overall. They are definitely high-quality, the wood feels pretty nice. The handle is well-made and screws in and out very easily. I did not get a piece of foam for these yet, so I’ve actually just been using them more as slump molds, and they have worked well for that. The sizes of these are pretty small, I think the smallest size makes a good teabag holder, or very small, trinket dish. The larger one, after the clay shrinks through the kilns, ends up being the size of a small appetizer or salad plate. Neither of them are very deep, but it’s still nice to be able to make a uniform dish. Overall, I think this is a high-quality product. If you are looking for smaller dish molds like these, I do think they are a good option. They are a little on the pricey side. But again, they are high-quality. ... show more

This set of pottery molds are beautifully crafted from quality wood. They are a fine addition to any potter’s studio. They can be used as a press to form clay using foam, or to drape the clay over and trim. Or… be creative and devise another way to use them. The box included one 4.5” mold, one 6.5” mold and a detachable handle. (See pics) No use or care guide was included. Both molds are shallow, 1.4” deep. These are thick and sturdy molds that attach easily. I absolutely love them for quickly mold my clay into trinket dishes.

    • Make the perfect bowl
Are use this with white clay. It is a good mold, and it’s easy to make multiple bowls look identical. This has increased my ability to create multiple bowls in a shorter amount of time.
