This is a lightweight storage shelf for light stuff. I wouldn't expect to put heavy things in this. This would be perfect for an office or nursery (think diapers and wipes) for stuff you'd like to organize. Right now we have it in our living room to keep some of my son's toys tidy and hopefully off the floor. Assembly is fairly simple, no tools needed. Just connect pieces. This shelf isn’t white and grey like in the listing. It is black piping with grey baskets. I got this for my daughter’s toys and it will definitely work for the lighter stuff but these bins are dollar store quality. They aren’t going to hold up much over time but they’ll do for the time being.

This item is pretty, whimsical and lovely but I don't think I can use it for serious kind of storage---maybe a few stuffed animals, or if you are a crafter, maybe some rice paper, or floral items, as you seriously cannot put the things on this shelf like it shows in the advertisement. I originally got this for the kids toys, but needed somewhere to put their winter coats/hats/mittens/etc and this was a great size. The baskets hold a good amount and feel sturdy to me - I had one loaded with the kids winter boots for a while with no issues. The one I received had a black frame instead of the white one, which I feel goes better with the dark storage bins. The bins are tilted forward, while the top forms a usable shelf. I ordered this to put on my husband's side of the bed for him to put random junk in so it's off the floor. It was taller than i expected. Easy to asseble.
