We bought the 1 gallon version of this container. It's well made, thoughtfully designed and easy to clean. My son will use it for marching band camp to stay hydrated with cool water. We're glad we bought this!

In short, this is a guilty purchase since I was tired of refilling 1/2-gallon thermos at my 15- or 20-minute breaks at work. That thermos did not keep dust and debris off the pour cap or out from underneath the main lid. This however is the opposite of that due screw-on feature of the pour cap. The handle and hinges that connect to the main lid seem quite sturdy and well-made as well as the container itself. However, I did see at least one review that showed the handle breaking off from the cap. However, if this does happen, I am decent at fabricating and making it so that it is fixed. My current idea of preventing all of this from happening is getting a case with a strap. Preferably a gun sling of some sort instead of the normal strap or perhaps a tool bag strap will be used instead of whatever strap is used on the case of my choice. This has plenty of capacity for the currency spent. In all honesty, I have yet to test the 48-hour cold drink claim. It remained cold for 12 hours that is what I do know. However, I am quite certain that it will outperform this claim, due to other people's reviews. I am not much of a hot drink person so not much to say about that. Well not until winter anyway. I absolutely love that this came with two 16-ounce stainless steel cups. Their claim of it being leakproof is accurate. I can only hope that this is the last thermos I ever buy. Would I recommend it? Absolutely! especially if you are a person who likes a lot of water or whatever other beverage you choose to put in it. The best thing about this is that it does not hold the flavor of previous drinks like with the plastic-lined thermos options that are out there. This thing takes up a sizeable amount of space so not exactly convenient in that regard but then you could get a smaller size. What do you expect out of a gallon container some degree of modesty? Move on! Yes, the main lid is a bit of a struggle to unscrew due to the width of it, and that there is a vacuum seal. I find such a struggle to be a bit easier if the pouring cap is unscrewed before unscrewing the main lid. However, if you would like such a process to be a little bit easier perhaps glue on some of that material that is used in a kitchen drawer for a liner.

This review is about the Abotocup and Buzio two-gallon jugs. THESE THINGS ARE BOTH GREAT! The two companies are clearly selling the same jug and just putting their names and/or logos on them. The difference is in the accessories! Sticker labels on the retail boxes say both products are made in China. These jugs are good looking, like it would be a shame to take them out into the field because you know they’re going to get beat up and scuffed out there! But hey! that’s their mission right, they just have to keep something to drink safe and warm or cold in the field. They don’t necessarily have to look good while doing it…. but they both do!! So… both jugs are very nice…very sturdy, well-made, double wall insulated stainless-steel construction and as I said they both good looking too. **ONE ISSUE on the construction they both have relatively brittle cap mounted PLASTIC carrying handles that can probably break pretty easily… so watch what you do if you try to use the handle to twist the cap loosening or tightening it. Also, watch what other pressure is impacting on them. I wish they would make a lid for them out of steel to include the carry handle. That would be great! Now onto the accessories: The Abotocup jug (at $99.99 as of 01MAR2025) comes with: a. a long scrub brush for cleaning the jug b. two 16oz DOUBLE-WALL drinking cups <GOOD if you put something VERY hot in them; soup, coffee etc.… your hands won’t have to deal with the direct heat! The Buzio jug (at $119.99 as of 01MAR2025) comes with: a. a full body protective/carry-sling sleeve that protects the whole steel jug and gives you an alternate means of carrying it around b. two 16oz SINGLE-WALL drinking cups <Not as good if you put something VERY hot in them; soup, coffee etc.… these will be really hot to hold on to! Now about the initial delivery… when I first ordered these two jugs from Amazon: a. the Abotocup jug showed up with multiple big dents on the inside bottom of the jug like someone just struck it a few times with a metal rod or something. b. And the Buzio jug showed up in a badly tattered and worn retail box that looked like it had been in transit for years and its plastic handle was fractured in two. So… shabby initial showing for both. Personally, I may buy a couple more Abotocup jugs and then order those protective carrying covers from Buzio for them. Or buy a couple more Buzio jugs and just try to order an extra scrubber and Double-wall cups from Abotocup. It just depends on which accessories YOU like most i guess…

I've had this water bottle for a couple years now and it's fantastic! It still keeps things cold for well over a day and it's one tough bottle! Even after being dropped it still works great and the lid has never leaked on me!
