My son enjoyed tinkering with this set. It wasn't his favorite science kit (we've had nicer/higher quality kits), but he did enjoy the activities he did with it. Seems a little overpriced for the number of pieces & parts included, but not terribly. We did enjoy it.

This was a great toy and very educational. It was very easy to use, which can't be said of all the STEM toys out there. The directions were clear the parts were easy to assemble. It's definitely something that my son needed help doing, but he was really engaged and excited to put it together. I like that it was fun and also taught about electricity. I highly recommend this! My kiddos loved this educational electricity kit - it engaged them while teaching about circuits in a hands-on way. As a ex engineer it is a great time to explain to them how things work in a fun way. Easy enough for kids to assemble but with parent help if they are too young. This ButterflyEdufields Electricity (and Magnetism) Kit has been a hit with my 9-year-old son. He's done several of the projects so far and looks forward to doing more. He's been able to work on this mostly independently with a bit of help from me. I supervised with the iron powder, because that's something that could potentially be messy. This isn't the flashiest or most nicely presented kit, but the experiments and information provided are very good. It comes with an instruction manual which asks questions and prompts the students to think about the concepts and record their observations. The science behind the activities is explained well. Heyas, This little kit is fun! It's not overly complicated and offers a bit of challenge, and a wealth of knowledge for kids. Plenty of variations for the stuff and it keeps the younger kiddos attention and fascination. The instructions are a bit weak, but it's not a huge deal because the projects are not that difficult.
