Several of the projects do not work because the motor is too weak or the parts too flimsy. Missing several accessories so we couldn’t do all the builds. The spin art works great as long as you press lightly. But the paper is weird. The lightest touch and the ink disappears. The instructions are doable. Better than China, but below Germany. 😂 However, my biggest problem is the print. I think the font is 8, and the print color is medium gray on light gray. I know a 10 year old will see it fine, but my granddaughter is 7, so I’m helping/reading. ... show more

    • Pieces don’t fit together, bad instructions

Terrible! Doesn’t work! First issue was the instructions just have pictures and don’t truly label the pieces - not a huge deal, they’re all simple enough projects. First we tried the balloon boat. The pieces were slightly different than the pieces in the pictures but we figured it out - the directions talk about angling the straw to change the direction of the boat - but the hole in the boat is straight up and down, our straw could not be angled no matter how much we tried, and our boat went nowhere! Then we tried the motorized boat. Small issue, the cutouts are slightly different than pictured, as is the design of the motor. Now the big issue - We got it all assembled and my daughter was having a hard time attaching the propeller straw to the motor. I figured it just needed to be shoved on there tight, so I tried and tried and no matter what, it falls off. I tried electrical tape, it falls off. Looking through the instructions, this setup (the straw + motor) is used in most of the projects! So these components not fitting together is a huge deal. I hot glued them and it looks like it might hold for a little while under very gentle pressure, but really this is ridiculous. Waste of money, disappointed kids, and discouraged mom. Don’t waste your time and money on this poorly designed kit. ... show more

Purchased for my almost-4 yo gifted son for Christmas. He obviously needs help assembling them because he doesn’t yet read but then enjoys tinkering with them independently afterwards. His favorite so far has been the mini vacuum cleaner. :) Given his age, he can be a little rough with toys and did break the wiring on the battery pack. I emailed the seller who promptly sent me info on where to purchase a new battery pack (cheap on Amazon) and a video on how to connect it to the clips from this toy - sounds complicated but it was easy enough for a non-mechanical Mom to figure out without Dad’s help. :) Super impressed with all that you get with this toy. ... show more

This was a Xmas gift for my 6-yr-old grandson. He loved this from the min he opened the box. He played with it for days until the wires to the power box came out. We weren't able to fix it because the box comes sealed. We requested a replacement which took a while to get here (from India!). We were astounded when it arrived in a box the same size as the orig, but with 2 replacement power boxes, other parts & further toys along with a "So sorry" written on a magnetic board.
