Such a cute holder. The quality is amazing; very thick, not flimsy, and not easily breakable. The ring is loose enough to easily move and rotate, but stiff enough to stay in the position you want it in. I didn't use the adhesive since I have a silicon case and had to use glue, so I would assume the adhesive works well, but simply not for rubber-y phone cases (which is mentioned in the product description). I always keep a phone ring on the back of my phone to help me hold it securely and more comfortably. This one is very pretty but a little bulky. It is holding up well so far and the stiffness of the ring is still intact. I like to be able to make the phone stand up while I'm watching it. This is a favorite.

This butterfly phone ring was a little more expensive than many others, but I liked the shape and contrast between the black and gold. It appears to be made well and comes with a cleaner and multiple methods to adhere to phone or phone cases. The problem I have is a heavy phone needs the support of two fingers into the ring. I have 8" hands (around the palm) and can only get one finger into the ring. That is just too tight and uncomfortable for holding a large cell phone so it does not fit me. The ring may work great for someone with much thinner hands or a lighter phone. (With a smaller phone you have to consider whether you want to use wireless charging because this butterfly may interfere with that.)

FIRST: This item CAN be used on a phone case, including silicone. Not sure why some reviews say it can't, but yes, as you see in my photo, this is where mine has been since I received it. NOW, BREAKING: I've had this ring grip for less than 2 months, and the ring broke off from the butterfly. This was normal use, nothing out of the ordinary. I am not someone who takes constant selfies or use my phone all day. I don't use any kind of holder often, unless I need to hold my phone steady. It started to become loose from the butterfly part about two weeks ago, but I thought maybe it was just loosened from normal use after the brand new tightness wore off. I was using it last night just to read something on my phone, and when I pulled my finger from it to set it down, the ring came off like it just fell out. There is no fixing it. I still have no idea how it broke off. It just slipped out and it doesn't pop back in at all. I can put the ring back in with the little post, but it isn't clicking into anything. It's completely smooth, no threads or anything to snap. It's a shame because the butterfly is a really gorgeous piece. I will not be buying another of these.
