I have a glass butter dish that is very decorative but when you place the lid on it there is butter all over the inside of the top. A nice looking dish but it's not something I leave the lid on. The features of the Butter Hub are so handy. The knife attached to the lid by magnet, the ramps at either end to push a pat of butter up or slide it off of the knife and the added legs on the cover so if there is a bit of butter on the lid, there is space between the counter and the lid so it doesn't mess up your counter. Overall, this dish has all the things we might have asked "why didn't they put that on ?" and didn't think to ask.

It stays put. Your not going to slide this across a counter or table as you slice off butter. It keeps the butter protected and handy and because the lid is clear you can see how much butter is inside. It has little butter stops at each end that are useful should you need to wipe off excess butter off the knife. The magnetic button on the top cover holds the supplied little knife so it is always handy. All in all I find it very useful and am glad I chose this product.

It's compact, easy to clean, and holds a stick of butter without being too long. I love the lightweight knife that comes with it, and the magnet on top is genius! No more big knives falling off--leaving a buttery mess on the counter. The magnet holds it securely and is always there when you need it. And the curved ends of the dish are great for cleaning off the knife. Brillant design!

The only thing I don’t like about this butter dish is that the cover is not attached. I have to look for a place to set it down while it has some butter on the bottom. If it was attached I could just flip it up. Otherwise it’s great.

I like it! I've had it for two years. The butter dish can be a mess, right? But this mess is completely self-contained. I'm here buying a second one, because when we need butter we need butter so it doesn't get washed often enough. Now when we finish one stick of butter we can pull out the clean butter dish and wash the dirty one. The plastic is good quality, the magnet holds the knife well, the knife is a lovely design, and the dish and cover are both ingeniously designed. This is the best butter dish design I've ever seen, and it won't break if it hits the floor. It isn't fancy, it isn't cute, but I would absolutely gift it. Note that I'm buying a second one, not a pretty glass one with a rooster on it (like I had until it hit the floor and smashed and I found this one). I'm buying this butter dish, because it is elegantly and perfectly made.

Love, Love, Love this butter dish I now own both sizes:) The only thing that I would change is the knife. I don't feel that they needed to change the size of the knife for the larger butter dish, the smaller knife stays in place better.

They made the ideal butter dish! I spent WAY too long researching and then waiting to commit to a new butter dish. (My dog broke our glass one after counter surfing.)
