My son opened this for Christmas. I added batteries and it still didn't turn on. I tried the key and it fell out. I looked inside and the connector was snapped off which sucks because he was so excited for the board. Update: I appreciate the great customer service that was given to me by the seller! Purple light flickered out the very first time I pressed it. Writing this review mostly because I'm stuck in the nightmarish Whole Foods parking lot with my baby crying in the backseat. It's bad enough to have to drive somewhere to return a defective item, but Amazon wants me to have to brave the he'll that is Whole Foods (I don't shop there) or PAY them to return at the UPS Store now? Seller should be responsible for any costs incurred in the return of a DEFECTIVE item, not the customer.

Toddler loved it. Some of the switches were hard for the 16 month old but he can grow into it. He does throw his toys and when he does, the batteries come disconnected. You have to then use a screwdriver and put them back in place. I did not mind this because we then got to “play with” the screwdriver. He can’t open it with the screwdriver by himself. So still child proof for battery safety

When our child first used this on Christmas Day he loved it. We noticed a few of the lights had shorts in them and we had to flip the switches several times before they started to work again. After a few weeks, it quit working altogether. This item is a wonderful idea but very low quality. The return window has already closed, so we’re stuck with it. ***Update*** The seller reached out to us and offered to send us a new item or give us a refund, even though we were beyond the return window. We took the refund which they applied to our original payment method. They wanted us to communicate directly with them by providing our email or phone number but we asked them to communicate through Amazon, which they did. Due to the great customer service, we are raising our review by one star.
