I bought this for 2 year old daughter who is absolutely horrified of our vacuum in the hopes that the toy version would help her to overcome any fears she was experiencing with the real one... Unfortunately, this hasn't helped her feel anymore comfortable with the real vacuum, but she does love to play with it and it has quickly become her favorite toy, so I'm still pleased with my purchase. The toy vacuum has plenty of buttons, sounds and lights for curious little minds to discover. It is the perfect size for a younger child (2-4ish) to handle and my daughter loves pushing it around the house. Shes not easy with her toys either, and it has held up impressively well to the regular toddler inflicted abuse it suffers daily. In-fact, I'm looking at it now and it still looks brand new! You'd never guess it has taken at least 3 flights down the stairs, a bath in the dog's water bowl or was mistaken several times as a stepping stool by her older brother. The vacuum keeps her entertained longer than most of her other toys, although the repetitive sayings and jingles do become a bit annoying after a while. Still a much better alternative to the endless sqealing of a bored toddler, so I can't really complain about the minor improvement We havent had to replace the batteries that came with the toy, which is a pleasant surprise, considering how often she plays with it... Funny story, but the ladies working the Post Office were laughing when I picked it up. I guess the vacuum was turned on when they received it in an Amazon cardboard box, making the switch unavailable to turn off. They couldn't wait for me to come pick it up, since it had been making noise regularly for the 3 days it took me to go and get it, lol. So, yeah! Gotta give props to the longevity of the batteries and the unexpected value there, haha 😄 The toy vacuum is a fun little toy for her and she really enjoys playing with it, so I would most definitely buy it again and would recommend it to others with toddler-age children (1-4). ... show more

    • Great toy to keep toddlers entertained!
My 1.5 year old loves this vacuum! Though it doesn't have suction, it has a realistic vacuuming sound with two settings (low/high) and colorful balls that light up and move. The balls are moved by airflow which works well as long as the vacuum isn't lying flat. There is also a button for music which cycles through a ton of instrumental songs (probably at least 15 nursery rhymes and Christmas songs). The vacuum is lightweight enough for my toddler to easily push around, and so far has been durable enough to stand up to a few drops. For the materials it's made of it seems a little expensive at $35 but definitely entertains him for at least 15 minutes of independent play (which is a lot for him) so it's worth it for me! ... show more

Our 13 month old granddaughter likes pushing the button for another song. Very cute. Has learned to push it around though I'm not certain she knows why. It doesn't stand upright (the toy, that is). That wasn't obvious from the ad we bought it from.
