Good price for scope. Looks great on my Marlin 1895 SBL. Eye relief is just far enough that I can use it with a heavy-hitter like that rifle. With the scope I was able to get a buck right through the heart on opening day. 45-70 Govt. kicks hard, and the scope stayed sighted, so it's worth it in my book. Easy to dial in as well. Hashes or dots on the reticle would be nice; I have it sighted in at 100 yds., but @ 50 (because of the high mounts) it shoots high-left about 2". Rather than dialing in windage and elevation, I can just adjust in with the reticle, but hashes would make for nice reference points. Fortunately for me the reticle gets thicker right about the area that I need to adjust (and anything closer I can use my ghost ring because of elevated scope mounts), so I can use that for reference. Someone else might not be so lucky. For the price, you can't beat this scope. It's a solid build with good light-gathering and a clear picture. And it looks sharp on stainless rifles (even though it is aluminum). Looking forward to many good hunts and lots of meat. ... show more

i have this same scope with the circle x reticle, Seems to be well made but looking thru the scope the walls of the scope seems to be very thick not like other scopes in this price range optics are as clear as my leupold and the settings are very good. will take it to the range in a couple weeks and let ya'll know how it turns out. I purchased this scope as a replacement for a 34 year old Bushnell Trophy 3-9x40 that my brother damage while borrowing my rifle. The new scope is awesome and upgraded with rezeroing turrets etc. I have more expensive scopes on several rifles but sometimes it really makes me wonder why. These Bushnell Trophy scopes just hold up, they’re optically very clear and the adjust with fine precision. I bought this Bushnell Trophy scope 3x9x40 to use on my C V A 50 Mag. Hunter inline Muzzleloader rifle. I have used Bushnell scopes for years and never had a problem with any of them. Bought 2 of these. One for a muzzle loader and another for a 20 ga. slug gun. Both would not move the reticle. for example, on the 20 ga. I was shooting high right. So I adjusted for it with a generous amount. hit the same spot. Adjusted again. Same spot. Got frustrated turned the right light adjustment a full 3 turns. Hit the same spot. Same with the muzzle loaded. adjusted enough clicks to put my off the target on the opposite side only moved about 3 inches. Haven't gone through bushnell yet but by some of the other reviews I will not have much luck with them either. ... show more
