Ordered two of these for my wife and I to use while riding our e-bikes. The U-1 has the NTA 8776 e-bike rating for speeds up to 28 mph and includes their mesh communication system. We love them! Even on windy days we have no issues hearing each other while riding. This has made riding together so much more enjoyable and safer as I can warn my wife of upcoming obstacles when I'm on the lead. Audio and lights are fantastic! It has several different light patterns for visibility. Holds a charge for a long time. I've used the bluetooth for Maps navigation, music, and answering phone calls. It's awesome. It also talks, which is pretty neat! It says "Lights On/Off" so you know when you've turned them on or off. It also tells you when your phone is connected, and it gives you its general battery level every time you turn it on or off (High/Medium/Low). Doesn't ventilate much at all, so it can make your head feel very hot in the summer. Collects sweaty fingerprints. I have scratches on mine from when it feel off a normal dining chair onto the floor. Makes me a little nervous regarding durability, but it is e-bike certified to protect your brain at like 25+ mph. The official e-bike certification label is inside the helmet. It feels snug & secure. I did a lot of research before choosing the Sena U1 and I’m glad that I did because this is an excellent e-bike helmet! However, I have some constructive feedback for the Sena team on version 2 of this model. First, the clasp is really clumsy to use and desperately needs a redesign, especially at this price. Second, the speaker quality is good but it would sound much better if they were shielded from the wind. High speeds make the speakers virtually useless. Finally, why doesn’t the helmet provide the exact battery percentage? Not even the Sena app provides the exact battery percentage. The helmet just says, “Battery level is high.” Why can’t they push an update to make the helmet say, “Battery level is 90%,” or something like that. It’s those little details that make me question the value of this helmet, especially at $200. Still, it’s the best thing available right now so I don’t regret buying this. I hope they implement the improvements I suggested in their next model. ... show more

This helmet is AMAZING. Very comfortable, worn for a long ride and was not hot. Also worn on a very windy day and the sound quality is crisp and clear...no wind heard. I am a female and was worried because I read reviews of this being heavy. I may not be very helmet savvy, but I totally disagree with this statement. It was on for 4 hours seamlessly! Awesome helmet. Not only does it provide protection when cycling up to 25mph, but the ability to communicate with other riders is great. I just wish the sound quality of the music was a bit better.
