Very nice, sleek, and roomy desk. Great for a home office! I found it relatively easy to assemble. The instructions were clear and took me about 4 hours total to assemble the desk and 2 hours to assemble the hutch. I built the desk on my own with cheap power tools so with better tools, you might be able to cut this time out significantly. Everything went together seamlessly and I am impressed by the outcome. I also purchased the matching bookshelf and filing cabinet. Both were similar material and plans. I recommend this if you are looking for a quality, stylish desk for a reasonable price! ... show more

    • Very nice & functional home office desk

Our delivery company messed up and left one of the packages out in the rain and then just wrapped some cardboard around the box & delivered it anyway... two weeks later than the other boxes. By the time it got to us, the cardboard was moldy and gross and completely destroyed, but the desk inside was fine! These are packed really well, so even if your delivery guys are rough on them, they come through OK. We did end up with one long piece that was cracked in half - clearly by the delivery company - but all I had to do was send an email and pictures of the box to the manufacturer and they sent a replacement right away. They didn't give me any hassle at all. We didn't have to try to repack the thing & return it. They just sent us a replacement part for the broken piece & that was it. Assembly is easy if you follow the directions. It's sturdy enough for a home office and seems well designed. We needed a large, functional desk to work from home during COVID, but we don't have an office. We had to put it in our living room, which is not ideal, but it's nicer to look at than a lot of office-style desks, so it's OK to have around day in & day out. The doors on the hutch are nice, so you can keep things looking tidy. Overall, highly recommended. ... show more

It took my wife and me about eight hours to ramble this desk. Once assembled, while pushing it back into the corner the little corner leg snapped clean off. Since 2020 I began to migrate more and more to working from home, and being a professional executive I had the position and ability to do so. I finally decided to invest in a whole new home office, and despite my wife’s proclivity for IKEA I dismissed it for Bush, and am I ever glad I did! The quality of this furniture is so superior to the blue-and-yellow; the panels are all are very thick and heavy, and unlike IKEA there were zero manufacturing defects I had to jerry rig to put it together, despite the number of pieces I ordered all at once (full L desk, hutch and a lateral filing cabinet). The only “glitch” was actually a packing error: on the lateral file the package contained two lefts sides and no right side. They were even labeled correctly, so someone didn’t pay attention and added two “C” panels and no “B.” One quick call to Bush’s tollfree number and the super-friendly agent took care of it and had a brand new “B” on the way, which arrived much earlier than his estimate. Other than that small item, everything was in great shape and went together smoothly. The instructions were very clear and easy to follow, and there was no confusion or issue identifying parts. One step I skipped was the hutch came with a panel to fill in the gap between it and the desk, and as you can see, I skipped that entirely. I prefer the more open feel it has this way, and as part of my office upgrade I painted the entire room too and love the color, so would rather see it in that spot. Probably the only other thing I can come up with that isn’t gushing praise would be that I wish Bush would review the packing foam they use. I guess it works well since nothing was damaged, but it’s that lightweight foam that breaks apart easily and is very staticky, so it leaves little bits everywhere that you had to wipe off every piece and vacuum like crazy afterwards. ... show more

I have owned several Bush desks for home and office use. They are easy to put together if you follow the directions carefully. They are sturdy and effective. They are reasonably priced. They also come in a multitude of styles, finishes and configurations.

The furniture looks nice in the photos but this desk is a nightmare to build. Pros: It has plenty of customization. You can put the hutch on either side of the desk. You can arrange thr drawers on either side. The keyboard tray can also go on either side. The wood is thick and sturdy. It overall looks nice.. Cons: none of the screw holes are pre drilled. It is easy to put in screws at the wrong angle and make things look offset. The legs of the desk are very very flimsy and easy to break. The screws for each leg are secured by 2 small screws and one very large screw which I guess is to support weight? In my situation alot of screws were missing. The bumpers were also missing. The hutch does not attach to the desk very sturdy so I have to put it near a wall just incase it falls. I would really suggest you purchase a different desk. For the money, there are much better and sturdier desks out there. ... show more
