It has turned out just perfect. It took me 3 hours to assemble by myself. Read the other reviews for tips on assembly. Follow each step of the directions before moving on to the next step. Give yourself a lot of space to build it. When the time comes to put the drawers in, yes, you will push HARD, but carefully. Remember the button you pushed to undo the drawer slides - you are pushing that back into place, and then still pushing harder. I used a powered screwdriver for most of the screws, except for the cams and the drawer support. I did not put the legs on, and instead used felt pads on the bottom because it's going onto a hard floor and I wanted no scratching. When you put the bottom on, remember to put the finished side towards the unit.....I had to re-do mine!!!! The pre-drilled holes do line up, so find and follow them. The hardware is all in separate bags with the part number printed on the bag. Be sure to follow those. The file extrusions (i.e. files rails) are really hard to put on. For the long ones, I used a tiny flathead screwdriver as a wedge and tapped the top with a mallet. I started at one end and worked my way down. The shorter ones fit into my microwave, and 25 seconds was good to warm them enough so I could fit them into place. I thought the instructions were adequate. They are not stellar, but they're fine. They included 2 file bars and I wish they'd included 4. I need two file bars per drawer to have my files go from to back, and not sideways. ... show more

Recommend you inventory everything before you start - an old ice cube tray is great for sorting the screws and easy assess during assembly. So far, I have never been shorted on any of the necessary pieces. Directions are easy and straight forward. If you have put together one Bush furniture piece, you will have no problem. I only had one screw that I had trouble getting into the partially drilled hole. One word to the wise - you do need hand strength in order to have the torque to assemble, but I was able to do it by hand and I am in my late 50s. Bush's customer service is excellent. One of the file drawer rails on my matching desk bent over time (I bought it back in 2015). They are sending my a replacement free of charge! ... show more

Excellent file drawers, with ample space on top and inside. I have 3 of them, and 2 matching desks. They're well built, soft close and smooth drawer function. They don't take up a lot of floor space, but give lots of additional space. Great packaging and delivery. Make sure you have someone who's good at furniture assembly put them together, as balancing the drawers properly is important. One cabinet was missing one part, but it was no problem, as I called Bush Furniture directly (phone number is in the assembly manual). They were easy to contact, and sent the part right away by FedEx. I would definitely recommend Bush Furniture products in general, and the seller I purchased this file cabinet from. ... show more

I researched extensively to find a couple of matching desks for a home office. The biggest issue I had with the desks is trying to find out that was a reasonable price but wasn't ridiculously cheap. I have found (with 2-3 other "cheap" desks) that you tend to get what you pay for. You sometimes even still get poor quality when you pay a great deal. As such, I was nervous to buy this desk but I have generally had great luck following reviews on Amazon to buy products so I decided to try it. We decided to buy this matching file cabinet to go with the desks. Thoughts: 1. I love the desk! Forgive the poor quality pictures (it's not a ringing endorsement of the ipad's camera) but I hope you can see how nice they look. They were much better lookin that I felt the promotion picture showed. 2. I love that they are on feet! I honestly didn't even think about it when I bought the desks but the ability to reach outlets behind the desk, sneak cords underneath to the surge protector/plug in other electronics, not cover up the heating duct has been a huge plus to this collection! The feet have 8 screws in each of them so they are extremely sturdy as well. 3. The drawers were deeper than I expected. My parents gave us a home-made file cabinet that was considerably wider than this. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to fit as much in the cabinet. I was pleasantly surprised to find that I was actually able to put everything in 1 drawer that I was able to fit in about 3/4 of the bottom drawer of the old one. I also loved that they were deeper than I expected. I use the top drawer as a catch-all for office equipment and was amazed at how much I was able to pile up and put in there. 4. I like that it is the exact same height as the desk you can put it at the end as a sort of desk extender. There have been times that I have needed to work from home and have needed the extra space! Con: 1. The wood laminate is thinner than I would have hoped. Again, all desks (even relatively expensive desks) seem to have this issue but I was hoping for more. I found that it was easily remidied by getting a furniture marker in a matching color, but I had hoped for more. Overall, I love the cabinet and the desks! ... show more
