  • Great Bike Trailer for the little ones
Color: Aqua Size: 2 Seat Pattern Name: Trailer&Stroller
I've put about 100 miles on this bike trailer and it's still going strong. I know that initial assembly was slightly tough because the fabric was really new. Since then, it's been fairly easy to collapse and return it to normal operation. The only con I can think of is the way the rain shields fold away. The zipper has an elastic strap that you insert the flap sides in when rolled up. I would have preferred a couple of velco straps instead when the rain shields are not deployed. That said, I'd definitely purchase it again. ... show more

  • First Kid trailer review
Color: Aqua Size: 2 Seat Pattern Name: Trailer&Stroller
So obviously I do not have another trailer to compare it too but for what it is, I would say it's okay. So what do I not like: The price!!!! Ridiculous! I have the 2 seater version and I do not understand why the price for this thing is so high!!! I was hoping that it came with at least one of the attachments but it did not. Second thing is the brake handle position. Honestly it is in the the perfect place If you're pushing behind it but if you're riding a bike and you get off of it to check on your kids, the trailer will move while you're walking to the back of the trailer to apply the break, which may cause your bike (if standing up) to fall over. It would have been nice to somehow apply the brake from the front as well. Assembly was not terrible but my wife could not assemble this trailer by herself. There are 2 hooks that holds a brace In place to I guess keep the trailer upright. Well when you first try to get it to clip, it almost feels like you're going to tear the plastic or something because it's so tight. It's so tight that I have no desire to unclip it because I know my wife will not be able to re-clip it back. Will it stretch over time? I'm assuming it's possible but right now it's really really tight. I have noticed other reviewers mentioned it. It's the truth! It's tight Last problem that I have noticed is the seat and MY kid head position. He is 23 months right now and about 26 lbs. When I checked on him, his head was down and off to the side of his body. Of course I was not happy with the position of his head so I tried to adult him, his head and his body to a more straight-up position and it was not happening. He ended up waking up for the remainder of the ride so he was fine after that but during the time he was asleep was a bit scary for me. The recline mechanism appeared like it would help the position of his head but no... it only made things worst. I plan on making something to help with the position of his head during the rides.. What DO I like? Well based on the options that this trailer has to the others of this maker, it has the most features. The 3 position recline is.... okay. I wish it went back further but it is what it is. The seat with the cushion is nice. Of course I'm not sitting in it but it seems to be comfortable. The suspension seems to be kinda a gimmick but I am glad that it is an option. You can just lower the air pressure and somewhat accomplish the same thing. The weight of the trailer is the best thing going for it. (My opinion) I'm sure there are lighter trailers but I do not know about then and also I'm sure they would be much more expensive. As I was riding, I did not notice that I was really pulling a trailer. I'm not in the super best of shape but I was able to pull my little one with ease. A few times I had to go up a steep hill but again it was not too hard to do so I guess that's a good thing as well. Over all, I do like it and I'm going to have to live with it because I do not plan on buying another trailer. I hope my review helps with your decision. ... show more

  • Great Product But Has Room For Improvement
Color: Aqua Size: 2 Seat Pattern Name: Trailer&Stroller
A very nice bike trailer and works well as a stroller. Pros. Works great as a bike trailer. Pushes very easily as a stroller with the included wheel. It's fairly light for its size. Folds compactly for a double seater. Cons. A bit difficult to set up. Handle was to tight to latch into place Didn't meet my expectations for the price. Doesn't recline very far. Doesn't have a brake unless you get the jogging attachment Didn't meet my expectations for the price Bottom line: I don't regret our purchase but I'm not exactly thrilled. For the price it should be better. We upgraded from a $130 bike trailer/ stroller which worked well but definitely had some things to be desired which was understandable for the price. We decided to get a top of the line model and settled on the Burley dlite x. This is much better than our old one and seems to be built from good quality materials. However I expected more for the price. Our old cheap one actually had a brake on the rear wheels which I really miss on the Burley. We have had issues with the handle. Ours was so tight and got worse with use to the point we could not latch it. I disassembled the handle and was able to loosen it but now it randomly moves so I need to tighten it again and hopefully will be able to find a setting that will work. This doesn't make sense on something this expensive. Setting up isn't as easy as I would have hoped. Latching the latches in place is a bit hard. It reclines but not enough to really make sleeping comfortable as I was hoping. if you put too much weight in the back the front gets very light and can almost tip over backwards. It has nice padded seats and the children sleep well in it and for the most part other than the handle everything works well. There are some nifty features like how the wheel folds up out of the way for bike use and just folds down for stroller use as well as mesh cup holders for the children. The tounge in the front extends for biking and can be retracted further for use as a stroller. It pushes almost effortlessly as a stroller with its big wheels. However when I compare it to our old one is it $600 better? The answer is simply no. If it didn't have any of those cons I mentioned the answer would be Yes. ... show more
