Really happy with this purchase. I have a small apartment and it’s perfect. I’ve tried two other carpet cleaners, one the older version of this one and one Hoover, plus a rental from the grocery store. This is my favorite by far. Main perks of this one are how VERY light weight it is and how simple it is to use. No bells or whistles, easy to dump, not very loud and gets the job done. Only real complaints are the tiny ON button and that it stops sucking when it’s full but it doesn’t light up or anything, the noise just changes. Everything else is great and it does a great job of cleaning. Really easy to empty the tank and there’s not dog hair caught all up inside like the other ones I tried. Highly recommend! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I hadn’t planned to write a review so didn’t take before pictures but seeing the results I felt compelled to share. Background: we have puppies and they mess. A few years ago I bought a Hoover when we had old incontinent dogs. It worked well though was a pain in the neck to clean. Then it broke down and Hoover chose to replace it under warranty with a smaller unit. Their option but I thought it was a d—- move. The small unit is impossible. The dirty water travels the same tube as the clean, it leaks all over and the cleanser unit in is impossibly small. So now fast forward to puppy mess. This BISSELL worked perfectly on the first try. Easy to assemble, functioned exactly as it should. Other reviews are correct the cleaning fluid bin does empty quickly but it pulls so much dirt out!!! It also leaked a bit when moved off the carpet but it was super minor, just a quick swipe with a rag and it was gone. I made a strategic decision to install carpeting when we moved into this house. I generally don’t like carpeting but felt it would be easier for my husband to navigate in the middle of the night with his walker rather than my preferred wood flooring with area rugs. So we have carpeting in all the bedrooms. The pups aren’t allowed in but of course they do and will make messes every now and then. We clean regularly so I was amazed at how much dirt came out of the carpets on the first pass! My only complaint is the lingering flowery smell of the cleaner. I’m going to use less next time and experiment with some of the other carpet cleaners. I’ll also follow up with a water only clean to draw out all the chemicals. Other reviews commenting on drying time were also correct. It’s January so no open windows or fans and I would say it was mostly dry by bedtime after cleaning in the afternoon. This shampooer is mini sized but I love it for use around the house. It does a fabulous job of cleaning and absorbing the water. It leaves my carpet looking brand new. It’s not heavy or bulky and is easy to use. Only one downside is the formula holder is a bit small so if you’re cleaning a large area, you may have to refill the tank a few times BUT it also makes the dumping of the dirty water a lot easier too. It does not have a heating element but you don’t need it. just fill the formula tank with as hot of water as you can. The hotter the water the faster it will dry. The cord is the perfect size unless you cleaning a large room. My living room is 20’ x 14’ and reaches everywhere in the room! ... show more

Love this machine !! Been buying bissel for years!! I love this machine more than my bissel pro heat. This machine is really powerful,easy to put together ,light and easy to clean. Love this machine gets all the stains out of rug cleans couches and furniture really well. This machine is better then the bissel pro heat the tanks are easy to put in and take out to fill with formula and easy to empty dirty water. I have a lot of carpet in the house and a dog that sheds like. Crazy this machine really gets the job done and makes the carpet look new. It is different to have the attachment hose in the front of the machine instead of the back. The manual that came with it didn’t say how to put it in luckily YouTube video to the rescue!! But they probably should put that in the manual. A lot of people like myself aren’t use to the hose attached to the front of machine. But other then that works like a dream and the attachments also fit my little green machine which is a plus!! So much easier to clean then the bissel pro heat that I got in 2013. Where you had to unscrew the plastic guards off to get to brissels. This machine is so much easier they pop in and pop out. I have owned both Bissells: the big one, which is a monster (great for heavy duty jobs) and the small one, which I like even more because: (1) Is super light and thus very easy to use on stairs and to maneuver in small areas, it’s only 7.5 pounds (below 10 lb. with the water tank filled), whereas the big Bissell come close to 25 lb. I mean this machine breezes through carpet surfaces without any effort and takes no space to storage – you will never hurt your back operating this carpet cleaner. (2) Is very quiet, whereas the big Bissell is very loud. I shampoo the carpets (around my dogs) while they remain undisturbed in their beds. I also feel more comfortable cleaning the carpets at 8 pm or 9 pm, whereas with the big Bissell you couldn’t help but think that your neighbor is going to knock on your door after 5 minutes of cleaning to implore you to stop because of the noise. (3) Suction is strong. I have been able to remove all stains so far. (4) Easy to ensemble, it took me less than 1 minute to ensemble all pieces. (5) It’s a Bissell. I’ve been shampooing carpets for 15+ years and this brand is really good Conclusion: This machine is perfect for individuals that want an easy and uncomplicated fix. If you plan to use it on your car or furniture, you need the $160 version, which comes with an upholstery tool. ... show more
