This is a truly beautiful watch. It’s very substantial. I typically like a large watch face and even this is a bit larger than I anticipated. It’s also fairly heavy compared to other watches I’ve owned in a similar style but after wearing for a bit I get used to it and after a few wears I likely won’t even notice. Edit to add: You'll definitely need to take this watch off to go through TSA, even if you've got Pre-check. It sets off every machine every time. Just something to keep in mind if you travel with it! Also, I finally figured out how to remove links, using the "pin removal" approach. Bulova's customer service was worse than useless - they just sent me to a WikiHow article that had 5 different methods, without telling me which method to use... You'll need a very, very tiny nail and a hammer, since the pins are both tinier than usual, and much harder to nudge out. I tried several tiny screwdrivers and nails before finding that the only thing small enough is a finishing nail. It took a LOT of force to get the pins out, much more than any other watch I've worn, which is why I thought I was doing it wrong. Or just take it to a jeweler! Original review: This is an extremely eye-catching watch, with a very large face and lots and lots of sparkle. In size, it's more like a men's watch, as the measurements indicate. The band isn't as large as men's watches I've tried, though, and only needed a few links removed to fit my (pretty small) wrist. Presentation is very good, with an attractive, sturdy gift box. I wish they'd included an insert with basic instructions, though, since I had to do an internet search to make sure I was removing the links properly. Other functions are normal watch functions - setting date/time is all it does - and the clasp was very easy to figure out without a manual. The diamonds have a truly impressive amount of shine to them, nothing like the glass crystals in cheaper watches. The hours are likewise easy to see, with more diamonds marking each. The silver face and hands are fairly easy to read, although I do want a little more contrast in low light. The clasp feels very secure, and has a smooth locking/unlocking action that's comfortable to use. As for the weight... this watch weighs in at 6.7 ounces on my scale - yep, just shy of half a pound - which is easily the heaviest watch in my collection of two dozen. The balance is very good, however, so the face doesn't feel like it's too heavy for the band. But if I don't wear it every day to get used to the weight, it does feel a teensy bit like a workout to check the time. I also found the links incredibly difficult to remove, for some reason. Usually I have no trouble adjusting bands, but this one really gave me a time. I'd be inclined to take it to a jeweler to avoid damaging it, in future. But otherwise, this is a really stunning watch that should last many years (and garner lots of attention). ... show more

This Bulova watch definitely is designed to be noticed, with 52 full cut diamonds in the case and another 10 in the watch face. We expected to find some certificate of authenticity stating the fact that it is a diamond watch, but none was included, only the website description. The "Precisionist" is the name of this watch, and every detail shows that precision. It's flawlessly made. You definitely feel the full weight of this heavy watch on your wrist. At a hefty 6.4 ounces, if you have slender wrists or don't like heavy watches, this 13 mm thick case head will overwhelm your wrist. It fit my wife nicely after removing two links, and there are both standard size links and two mini links that are available for removal, for a finer adjustment of size. She really likes the clasp design and it is comfortable to wear. The continuous motion second hand rotates seamlessly around the face, and the high end watch crystal matches the "Precisionist" label, with excellent time accuracy. My wife and I have been wearing Bulova watches for many years (among others), and have always loved the way they're built and the way they look. This ladies' watch is no exception. The design is beautiful, with 52 diamonds surrounding the face and another ten diamonds on the hours, along with a date window. Dials and date window are all easily readable, which is a big plus. You wouldn't want the band and watch any bigger or more masculine, as the size might tend to overbalance a truly thin and feminine wrist. In other words, this is not one of those diaphanous and wispy watches that seem more like a hint of jewelry than a fully functional timepiece. This is a *watch*, and no mistake, and makes a definite statement. The only negative I have (and not enough to dock it a star) is that one shouldn't have to pause the gift-giving to look up the watch's operation on the internet. At least put a printed mini-manual in the box. And speaking of which, the presentation box is quite handsome as well. All in all, a lovely watch and package from Bulova. ... show more
