I love Bully Max products for my elderly Rottweiler and have tried a number of their offerings in the last couple years. Currently, I'm worried about my nearly 16 year old (and neutered) dog de-conditioning. He's been strong his whole life, but he's dealing with some instability, so I've been walking him on a human treadmill lately most days to see if that might help. I also started feeding this kibble for awhile, despite being a home dog food cooker, because cooking is tedious and I was genuine curious how my dog would do with this product. I kinda hate the ingredients and source of protein. But, I think they work effectively. I can tediously prepare balanced meals for my dog with an equally high amount of protein - but it is quite expensive and I do use supplements in addition to whole foods. This is a kibble product, so I realize my dog isn't getting fresh, real food, and this is essentially dog "junk food," but I actually do like this product kn spite if mixed feelings. A couple other notes are that the 40lb bag is actually ginormous - it appears to have significantly more food in it than competitors who sell 40lb bags. The volume may feel higher due to the smaller kibble size, which I appreciate. Because I know how drying kibble is to dog bodies, I add a couple cups of water to this product in my dog's bowl and airfry it at 210°F for about 20 minutes. This allows the kibble to soak up water and increase volume and soften up, presenting more like a wet food. My dog is basically toothless and struggles to chew, even though this product is quite tiny in pieces. My dog does enjoy the taste of the kibble, as well, even when I load it up with weird supplement powders that taste weird to him. Overall, while I may be a lesser fan of dig kibble, I cannot deny that using this product is super easy compared to what I ordinarily do, or that my dog has *visible* gains while using it. I supplement my dog specifically for muscle health, and feel this kibble is very complementary to my current approach. I hope to resume my dog's normal feeding schedule and to use this product as more of an add-in, but in the meantime while I sort things out at the homestead, this product has been a lifesaver. It definitely works. I think the value for the quality is fair. Recommended for working dogs and muscle support for active dogs of all ages. Despite being basically anti-kibble, I think this product has plenty of merit. Note: this review is considered painfully late per the Amazon Vine Voice program, because I received the product more than a month ago. I waited to review the product because I wanted to develop a fully formed opinion based on actually using it on my dog. Early reviews may not reflect true use of the product because it was a pre-release item we all received at about the same time. There is no way to meaningfully opine on a dog kibble product the day one receives it. We are "encouraged" to get reviews in as quickly as possible, but I opted to not do that in this case to provide at least relevant feedback.

I didn’t see any weight gain in my dogs but they absolutely loved it. It didn’t have a funky commercial dog food odor and they ate every bite. Great quality, huge bag and didn’t cause any stomach issues like diarrhea. Honestly, the food was nice but the price is insane. If not for the promo to test it, I’d never purchase this because it’s so cost prohibitive. No diarrhea. Edible.

TL;DR: $150 for 40 lbs of dog food is definitely pricier than normal. But if you want to feed your dog lots of protein and fat, this is the way to go. My dog loves this. An added bonus is that the bag is resealable. I personally mix this with other kibble, but that's up to you.
