When I first bought this item it sat for a week while I just looked at it. Then I decided to try it by adding it to my coffee. Oh my goodness … and I had wasted a whole week! It adds flavor to my coffee; and what I noticed since starting (I am on my 2nd bottle) it does everything it advertises. I'm new to this oil. I started with a teaspoon (as instructed for noobs). It was fine. I moved to 2 tsp after 6 days. Mistake😂. I have an iron stomach and digestion..but this stuff is no joke. I had the runs once but it came and went in under an hour. The other two times with issues.. I only had 1.5 tsp and had horrrrrible stomach cramps. I almost had to lay on the floor. I've never had an upper stomach cramp like that before. I shudder to think about it. Anyway, so don't do that. Start at a tsp (a few times a day..just not a whole tablespoon all at once). Eating a spoonful of something first helps too, and also waiting 20+ minutes after waking up. It's great stuff, it gives me energy and overall my brain feels like it's working better. I have purchased this product locally for several years and always been very pleased with the quality. Simply the best! This time, I made the mistake of purchasing it from Amazon. All six containers arrived defective/damaged. I contacted Amazon, made them aware of the situation and sent photos of the damaged shipment several times. Amazon refused to see the damage in the photos submitted despite being clearly visible. After this last incident, I am so done with Amazon. I use MCT oil daily when I made salad dressings, smoothies, dips, sauces, etc. I don’t cook/heat it. And don’t use too much as it will upset your stomach. The ratio of oil to MCT is 3:1. Occasionally I will add a teaspoon to my coffee for a pick me up. Excellent supplement to my daily routine.

I generally follow a ketogenic diet and typically start my day with up to a tablespoon of this oil, and a thin slice of butter, blended into 1-2 cups of black coffee, no other added ingredients. I tend to maintain mild ketosis from eating very few carbohydrate containing foods through the day and night. I can’t really speak to the nutritional benefits of this oil; I find that it is nearly flavorless but adds a very nice smooth texture to my coffee and to any other foods that I occasionally may add it too. This oil does not upset my stomach, and it doesn’t cause me to have any other gastrointestinal side effects. I’ve been using it for a while though, so I’m sure I have tolerance. I don’t really find any enhanced energy or mental clarity beyond the benefits of a ketogenic diet in general for myself, and if I do eat much carb-containing food, that will break the ketosis regardless of whether I eat this oil or not. But I do keep reordering it and I recommend it for the pleasant texture it imparts to my coffee and food. ... show more
