  • Tips and tricks to make your protein intake experience easy peezy lemon squeeze!
By far the best protein I've ever had. Very little taste, and when prepared using my recommendations below you'll end up with something that's easy to just down in a few seconds because it's not a shake consistency but slightly thicker than water (and that's with qty 2 33 gram scoops) 1st- it doesn't come with a scoop, so keep the scoop from the last major protein purchase of another type/brand and just make sure the quantities for servings match 2nd- I've only ever mixed it with room temp water. I bought a gallon of purified water from Wally world and keep it on the counter so I always have water at the perfect temp for best blending. 3rd- I bought a magic bullet blender from Wally world for 20 bucks, and bought the extendo warranty because I know I'll be burning it up since I'm using it 2-3 times a day, and things don't last like they used to. 4th- the magic bullet blender only comes with 12 oz cups, so since I'm doing 2 scoops per blend I went on Amazon I bought 2 16 oz cups with another blade attachment for somewhere around 17 bucks. If you're only going to use 1 scoop per blend maybe you can get away with the ones that come with the blender, but I'm not blending twice, so I got the bigger cups 5th- I put water in the cup first up to about 1/2 to 3/4 inch below the max fill line. I then put in my 2 scoops. 6th- I pulse blend 3 time for half a second, this seems to do well at getting the powder mixed in the water better and not sticking around where the blades are. I then blend for 15-20 seconds, then let it on the table for 1-2 minutes. By doing this I've never had any clumps whatsoever and am able to drink the whole thing within seconds. Meaning that I'm able to pile in another 100-150 grams of protein in less than 5 minutes a day. 7th- From what I've researched Casein protein is a slow digesting protein source, which is good since the body can only use so much whey protein before the rest is burned off as energy but not going to the muscles. Whereas Casein if taken when first getting up in the morning right before bed sets my body up for best gains since I'm giving it some sustained protein throughout the day and also at night. Sometimes I'll throw in another one around 2-3pm if I know I'm not going to be getting enough protein through what I'll be eating during the day. So all in all I'm doing about 1 gram of protein per lb of lean body weight, and it's been incredibly easier to do it with this than any protein I've ever used before. Major reason being it's super quick to blend and also it's fast fast fast to drink because it's not a shake, and is nice and thin so it's as easy to down as something like a Gatorade. 8th- the only ingredient is Casein, so no artificial anything, so preservatives, no junk, just what the body needs to build 9th- I've had absolutely 0 stomach issues or gas when taking this. It's funny because most of the guys I work out with blame their protein for their constant and never ending gas, but in reality I'm betting money it's because they're eating a forest of broccoli or cabbage every day. 10th- As a time saver I take the blender cup after I drink it and throw it along with the blender blade attached in the fridge after every use without cleaning it out until maybe 3-4 days has passed. Because it's not a thick protein it doesn't get nasty so quickly and I've never had any kind of off smell or taste pop up when I've done this (and I'm sensitive to taste and smell). 11th- The bags the protein come in will absolutely drive ya nuts because they don't reseal well due to the protein getting in there. I highly recommend buying a different large opening plastic container to transfer the protein to or if your frugal just use an old optimum nutrition 5 lb container. This stuff will stick to ya like chalk, so having something with a wide opening and easy access to the scooper is highly recommended. This will keep your hands cleaner and your frustration won't be popping up every time you reach your hand in the bag lol. 12th- Price is pretty decent for this protein per serving, but look for events like Amazon day, or spring amazon event kind of things to save yourself some money to buy in bulk. This is usually on Amazon for around 33-36 bucks a bag, but if you time it right you can really save yourself some cash, especially if you use as much of this as I do. The spring deal i just took advantage of had it on sale, then if ya bought 2-3 of them you could use a coupon that gave 10%off. All in all I ended up paying around 25 bucks a bag or about .75 cents a serving. Which means I'm able to intake 150grams of pure protein for 4.50 a day. Considering many of the protein bars with 40 grams of protein are 3-5 bucks each, that's what I call a sore 🐓(male chicken) deal, ya just can't beat it!. Conclusion - Would I recommend this stuff, ohh yeah for sure. I'm focused on making some great gains in the next 6 months and this stuff is the prized arrow in my quiver. Hopefully my overview and suggestions with make your ability to intake more protein to get the gains you deserve a little easier and at a much more economic price. I'm not one who usually take the time to do reviews, but this is a product that's already been a game changer for me in the last few months, so I decided to share my best practices with y'all. Well, I hope this helped, and wish you many gains to come in the near future gents. Yeehaw 👍👍🤠 ... show more

  • Exactly what I needed for a light dinner
I grabbed this micellar casein to keep nights simple and it works great. It is unflavored, mixes thick, and keeps me full for hours, which helps me skip heavy late meals and stay on track with my weight goals. I usually do a scoop with water or almond milk in a shaker and it blends well with a few extra shakes. On busy nights I make a pudding by mixing it with a little Greek yogurt and a splash of milk. Super satisfying without a pile of calories. Quality feels clean and consistent. No weird aftertaste, just neutral. I like that the nutrition is straightforward and the scoop size is realistic. It also plays nicely with add-ins. Cocoa powder and a little stevia turn it into a chocolate dessert, and cinnamon plus a few oats makes an easy overnight snack. If you want a slow digesting protein that actually keeps you full in the evening, this is a five star pick. Simple, affordable, and it does exactly what it says. ... show more

  • Perfect for my purposes
I mix in a pound of this stuff (half the 2 lb bag) into a large tub along with a few pounds (4ish lbs) of ‘now sports nutrition chocolate whey protein (10lb bag, great deal, quality, clean, healthy, safe btw)’ and shake it up real good as I go doing a bit of each at a time between shakes. I use a few scoops of the protein mixture for my breakfast smoothies and post workout protein/10g creatine shakes and it’s perfect. It adds a bit of slow absorbing protein into my shakes and doesn’t dilute the flavor too much. I mix them with water and they still taste great. Add some of Anthony’s organic raw cocoa for a little energy boost with a bit of fiber and protein and double down on that chocolate flavor while you’re at it. Tastes amazing! ... show more

  • Still great protein!!
I’m giving this 4 stars, not beicase the product itself is bad; this protein is amazing when mixed with my whey protein at night to help amplify my fat burn. BUT… the packaging of this product could use some work. The bag itself is extremely hard to zip closed due to the amount of protein powder seeping into the groves of the ziplock mechanics. Also, it does not come with a protein scoop. Luckily I have extra scoops from other powders, but for a first time buyer, just be aware you’ll need to buy or use a separate scooper ... show more

  • My Preferred Unflavoured Powder
Excellent casein powder, and much better flavour profile that whey protein IMO. Flavour-wise, it blends in with shakes and smoothies perfectly - there is no distinct old milk taste that you get with whey protein. The powder itself has a bit of the smell, but it doesn't impart that in its taste. Of course, if you WANT to taste it, I suppose you could just use ridiculous amounts of it at once 😂 As for the texture, it is an EXTREMELY fine powder, which is a good and a bad thing. Good news first - it blends GREAT, as far as protein powder goes, especially in recipes (they whey I've used before has fallen very flat in this regard). Bad news, however, is that the powder is fine enough to make the zipper in the bag completely useless - you will need to transfer the powder to a different container. For me, an old sugar container and a large mason jar did the trick. It should also be noted that this package does NOT come with a scoop, so save your old one or buy another one. Happy Gains !! 💜 ... show more

  • Best of the caseins
Every casein that I've consumed has a chalky consistency to it and this one is no different. The taste is palatable but I would not go so far to call it a "good" taste. Aftertaste is tolerable as well. Tips for mixing (casein is not very water soluble): - If possible, mix up with a blender bottle at least 4 hours in advance to allow clumps to dissolve. - I've found that starting with warm tap water and refrigerating produces the best results. - If you cannot mix in advance, a blender works wonders. - If no blender is available, a gentle side to side rocking with a blender bottle has produced the best results for me. - Do not mix ice in until well blended. The casein seems to clump to the cubes and resist dissolving. - Do not poor casein into an empty blender bottle. It won't mix. Make sure theirs at least an inch or so of water at the bottom prior to pouring. - Put the steel shaker ball into the cup AFTER the casein. It helps keep the casein from floating to the top of the cup as you poor water in. Bulksupplements products are notorious for poor re-zipping on their resealable bags as the protein invades the "zip" and makes it impossible to close. I've purchased the 21 cup Rubbermaid containers for both my whey and casein with excellent results (link at the end of this review). I also understand the frustration that this product does not come with a measuring spoon. I utilize a scale and measure to just under 1.1 ounces (30 grams) of both my whey and casein. I've yet to find a measure cup combination that consistently measures the 30 gram serving size. A lengthy review, I know. But, it strikes at many of the main complaints that people have about this product. Most of the complaints can be applied to casein protein as a whole rather than this specific product. If you're researching casein you likely know how you'd want to use it (protein feed while sleeping, typically) so I won't go there. I've tried many, many, many types of casein and this is the cleanest and cheapest that I've found. Been using it for 6 months now without issue, other than the mixing problems. As described. Unfortunately it tastes like your drinking liquid sand, no matter what you mix it in. It's extremely thick but no tate and no smell to it..

  • Micellar Casein, plain and simple.
Since NOW Foods' micellar casein has been on shortage, and for who knows how much longer. This brand delivers what I needed to go with my whey, and some so without causing any GI issues. Due note that the bag does not explicitly has the wording of Micellar Casein printed, but it does mixes just like it. Plain casein are notorious for sticking to sides off bottle. It be awesome if Bulk Supplement would have said wording printed to make their already good product a great one. ... show more
