These kits were a little tricky for my 9 year old students. The robots work and they come out cool. The instructions were pretty clear, but the materials include tiny screws and lots of small detail work, which my students all needed adult help with at least a few times. They loved putting together the robots, and it was nice that the kit had everything they needed except the batteries. They were very excited to try their robots out!

I was thrilled with these doodling robot kits! I got the 4-pack for my nephew and also tested them with a small group of kids, and they were an absolute hit. The instructions are clear, though I recommend adult supervision for younger kids, especially because of the small screws and detailed assembly. These were so much fun! We had a family Robot night, and while I did have to go in and tighten some of my families wires they all worked just fine. It was fun to see how each one moved just a tad different. But if you have a little knowledge and follow the directions, this is such a fun STEM project!

These are not robots that a small child could follow directions to assemble, but they are fun toys! Just plan on assembly being an activity to do together. It's worth the effort once they're put together, though - since there are so many to play with and they're just fun to watch.

This product really needs to be for an older age group then labeled. It has tiny screws that would require help from an adult. If you are looking to do this for a class a small group it would not work.
