  • Excellent collection of cartoons
Like many I was not interested in the Funko Pop figure, but I did not boycott this release or decide to wait until they sell the Blu-Rays on their own. If people don't buy this set we may never see the cartoons released on their own anyway. And I would like to see more Blu-Ray releases of WB cartoons. If they don't sell they will not release more, many classic cartoons in HD will be stuck behind the paywall at HBO Max, which is a rental. Rant aside, this set is a gem. There are about 10 cartoons here that were also on the Platinum Collection Blu-Rays, which themselves did not sell well enough to warrant more than 3 volumes and are now hard to find. Some cartoons here are on disc for the first time, some in HD for the first time and others getting their aspect ratio fixed to the proper 4:3. Most of the extras were released before on the Golden Collections. The picture quality on all the cartoons is incredible. If you like Looney Tunes please buy this. If you don't want the Funko Pop sell it or give it away. The figure comes in it's own box so it's brand new. I got the set for $55 and we may see it on sale for less around Thanksgiving. ... show more

  • It's all about the shorts - and WB customer service
I waited to write this review until I had settled the matter, but this set is a 5-star set, once you get the correct digital code. The shorts are incredible and look/sound incredible, with many of these being available for the first time. If you're a Bugs Bunny completist, then this is the collection set to get. As for the digital code, I was supremely disappointed that it didn't work. However, one quick email to WB with photos of my code insert, and proof of purchase, and they got me a code that works within hours. The customer service from WB was exactly what I would expect, and they did the same thing when the Batman Animated Series dropped by up converting the SDX to HDX, so WB is A-OK in my book. In short: get this set and adjust your expectations that the code might not work at first, but you will be taken care of. 5-star experience for the customer service response and the incredible Bugs Bunny content. ... show more

  • Bugs Bunny 80th anniversary
Worth every penny. The best of the best. My only disappointment was the scan code expired in 2021 so I can't put it on another device to take it with me places. But the DVDs were as I said worth every penny.

  • Loved the Blu-ray's, could've done without the stupid doll
I was so happy when I found these, I have nearly episode of Bugs Bunny that I loved when I was a kid but a few, these Blu-ray's took care of all the ones I was missing except for a few. If you want to just sit on the couch and smile for a few hours I strongly recommend getting these. My only complaint was the stupid doll that came with it. I wish you could have bought the Blu-ray's without the doll. ... show more

  • Must have for the big Looney Tunes fan!
This is an absolute must have for the Looney Tunes fan. Over a third of these cartoons have never been on DVD or Bluray EVER before! YES EVER! There are 23 of those just to start. Then you can add to that another 10 that were on sets before but were never fully restored as they are presented here. The rest have the formatting fixed to the correct original aspect ratio of the original theatrical exhibition where they were sometimes cropped on previous releases at top and bottom (depending on the original ratios that originally varied from full to widescreen) to fit wide-screen TVs. This along with the previous Essential Bugs, Platinum and Golden Collections will get you every single Bugs Bunny short and vintage TV special that will ever be released making up 99% of all the Bugs Bunny content that has ever been made. Get these now! Do NOT hesitate or put it off! All of these cartoons are fully restored and are UNCENSORED as they were originally shown in theaters. In today's day and age they are just one protest away from production being stopped and being removed from sale. The content of over 75% of these shorts mean that they will either be heavily edited or not aired at all. One good example is the 1959 short "Wild and Woolly Hare" where an Indian goes out the saloon to face Yosemite Sam and is shot and killed offscreen, and Sam later gets shot in the face multiple times. The sequence is completely cut out or highly edited as it almost always has been on TV, and definitely is nowadays if it is even played at all which is highly unlikely anymore. The other Looney Tunes that feature any type of gun or shooting, or what they deem as "excessive violence" are almost never aired anymore. That leaves only a select dozen or so that will be repeated on TV over and over. The rest will never again be aired and probably never released ever again. It is quite frankly a miracle that this Blu-ray set was even released actually and production is sure to be ended quickly when the uber sensitive mob gets wind of it. It comes with a digital code that allows you to take them with you, which is nice while it lasts, but DON'T trust digital because it can be banned and pulled offline at any second. Buy and keep the Blu-rays. BUY THIS BLU-RAY SET NOW! It is destined to be taken out of production before long and the price will go through the roof. The one and only negative is the omission of the VERY FIRST Bugs Bunny appearance "Porky's Hare Hunt" from 1938. That is too important a milstone to go uncriticized. One star deleted from the rating just for that. It's too important. ... show more

  • Bugs Bunny in High Def anytime!
Bought this for my hubby for Christmas. He is always looking for Bugs in HD. I was worried about the expired digital code, but ordered this anniversary set anyway. Was ecstatic when I was able to redeem the digital code and add these to our VUDU library!

  • Excellent cartoons . . . and you can just throw the packaging away!
Yes, the packaging is horrible...and the ugly figure will turn off most Bugs Bunny fans. But the great news is that...the CONTENT is FANTASTIC. Yup, these cartoons have never looked this crisp before. And there are many that weren't on previous collections. So my advice is...GET these damn blu-rays before this sells out...and then just discard the packaging. Well worth the price. Looney Tunes fans unite ! ... show more
