Very Convenient to use without having to pull the laptop completely out. Fits beautifully on my 15.6 Lenovo. It does have a ridged outer shell,not hard but not soft either. Just a little more protection than a soft carrying bag. The hardware is heavier and more durable and better quality that most others. I love that it has a outside zippered space for charger, mouse, cords, ect so necessaries are not up against the laptop. Very lightweight and easy to carry. I think it's a great value. Would definitely buy again.

I purchased the size that corresponded to my laptop's specifications and it fits perfectly. It's nice quality, feels sturdy, and I like that I don't really need to remove it in order to use it. I needed a new carrying case since I just recently bought my laptop and didn't want to risk something happening to it. The smaller compartment actually fits quite a bit into it. My power cord, 300W power inverter for my car, external hard drive and several other items, including the shoulder strap, all fit in the smaller compartment with no struggle to get it closed. Would purchase again. Bought the silver one because it had the fastest shipping and I needed something immediately. But would have purchased the black one if it had a faster shipping time. Also wish the 17.3 came in other fun colors besides just black and silver. The smaller laptops get to have all the fun, it seems.

I was looking for a case for my brand new 15.6in. HP laptop, preferably one that I could keep on the laptop while using it. This case satisfies that criteria. There are elastic bands that hold down the bottom corners of the laptop, and clamps that hold on to the upper corners of the screen. The double zippers are good and sturdy, and the material this case is made of is hard, but flexible. There are two sturdy handles for holding the case in hand, or you can use the shoulder strap. There is also a panel inside that you can use to prop up the laptop in order to keep it ventilated while in use, but my laptop doesn't really get hot to begin with. To top it off, there is a generously-sized zipper pocket on the front of the case that nicely holds my charger, Bluetooth earbuds in their charging case, a mini card reader, and an external CDRW drive. So why then, did I subtract a star? The max size this case is supposed to hold is a 15.6in. laptop, which is what I have. And yet, there is a good inch of wiggle room between the side of the case and my laptop. The same is true from front to back. I was hoping for a slightly more secure fit. The elastic straps keep it from sliding out--the case itself is not very deep. So if not for the bands, that would be a problem. I hope this never happens, but I'm not so sure how well they will keep the laptop in place should it accidentally take a tumble while I'm using it. And if you do have a 15.6in, and you want to charge it while it's in this case, not really going to happen. I thought that since there's a bit of room on either side of the case, I could wiggle it to one side and get my charging cable plugged in, but it doesn't quite fit, and I feel like there is some stress placed on the cable if I plug it in and let it rest on the edge of the case. So that's a little annoying. But overall, I do like this case and I'm glad I found it.
