This polisher works good enough in most cases. It's a bit heavy, a bit noisy, enough to where ears and arms will be sore in short order! That being said, it does a good job functionality wise, just have to be careful and keep it moving as to not burn through any layers. The polisher has good rpm speed and holds strong with a lot of torque, pressure can be applied and it won't stop the disc. I used this on semi damaged boat gel coat with great results, the extra muscle really helped cut through all the nasty oxidation quickly. The pad is easy to use, has the hook and loop fasteners so it's quick to change pads. For the price it can't be beat, does a great job as long as you are careful. If you plan on only occasional usage that works well and won't break the bank, this one could be the one! Cheap and works!

I can't believe how unbelievably well this polisher worked in buffing out a long scratch on the passenger side of my car. I've never polished my car with one of these rotary buffers before, so I watched a handful of videos to make sure I had the right technique, equipment, and polishing/sealing compounds. This set was an amazing deal with all the pads and sandpaper you get. It also includes two types of handles, of which I used the D handle since this is a heavy sucker to hold. The variable speed was perfect for my needs, as I could start out slow until the compound worked into the pads, and the speed up for the finishing touches. I was shopping for a cordless random orbital polisher, but they are going to cost at least double to quadruple the price of this polisher, and then don't come with all the pads. Plus, a lot of the cordless ones don't have near as much power as corded, with many reviews stating they don't have enough torque for polishing. I will say, though, that I ended up using some small polishing pads versus the 7 in pads that came with this pack so that I could more easily follow the contours of the panels. The fact that this comes with 7 in sanding discs is also a bonus for other wood building projects I have on my list. Overall, I'm very happy with how this buffer performs. It worked EXACTLY as expected for my car buffing project and I can happily recommend this to anybody looking for an economical polisher. It'll get the job done and then some.

If you don't mind a heavy polisher that takes up a moderate amount of space, for a good price, this is for you. If you want a compact, lightweight, lesser quality polisher, look elsewhere. The value listed for the money is great. I would like it to be less heavy, but understand that some polishers are made heavy for a reason. Has 6 speeds and comes with multiple pads, plus a sanding one.

To get something well built it may weigh a little more and this does. But the big handle on it takes the stress out of it. I also have a PC Dual Action sander/buffer (6") and this out performs it. For the real fine, end finish, you can't beat a DA sander and this is not for this purpose. But for material removal and getting the first courses of polishing done this does the trick - and for a great price. It is also great that it comes with a variety of pads to work with so no guessing what you need to buy.
