It’s a mini hair dryer. Well less powerful hairdryer. But still powerful enough to cause resin to spill out or mix more when trying to get bubbles out. I don’t know what I expected or what I would use as an alternative for it tho. I think it’s fine for the cost. It was less than $10 and does work I just thought it would be something else. A mini resin hair dryer. Works great. Well it works. I. The hands of experience it probably is great with resin. I just ended up with resin all over my hands. But I can’t fault the product for user error. I am a beginner and I still had some air bubbles using this. I have nothing to compare it with so I can’t say if it works well or not. It did make less air bubbles tho. It does help and is priced budget friendly. I’m sure I will get better at using it in the future.

The reviews had me worried but I wanted one and also wanted to save money.. This blows enough to remove bubbles from resin and it needs less than a minute to do that job at a time so I doubt I'll be melting it. It's light and easy to use and a good size, and does what it says it will. I can understand some having issues with the cord, I thankfully have plenty of cord for my space and am pretty happy over all. Keep your hand off the air intake when using and use in small bursts and it shouldn't melt on you. It's a great value for my needs. It also comes in a different colors but with resin it'll get scuzzy at some point so the black option is great.

This heat gun works as advertised and is good value for the money. I also not expecting such a powerful air flow, I was hoping for more of a passive heat to help pop air bubbles, versus a hot air blower, but that is probably just a misunderstanding on my end. The air flow is quite powerful (and hot), and it sounds like a full on hair dryer when you're using it. It's not the best gun for smaller projects where you don't want your resin blowing around. It's a good size gun, easy to hold, and it stores nicely in a drawer. I do think the cord is a little too short, and it doesn't always want to stand up properly, even with the little kick stand deployed, it wants to tip sideways.
