As others have said this appears to be a nice clean power supply. I use it with my MFJ-9420 driving a Communications Concepts 140 watt solid state amp on 20 meters ssb. Quiet and good performer.

Just received this little power horse today, and the reason I am giving it a positive review! I posed the question before I bought this, if it has a voltage adjustment, most of the replies said no! I'm here to tell you that there is not a dial on the front of the unit, however, there is a small potentiometer on the bottom of the unit, a tiny flat head, that you can adjust up or down from 10-15 Volts, it is there, from there I adjusted with my voltage meter to get the desired voltage I want, and although it is not shown on the unit, it is there on the bottom side, have fun! ... show more

    • Good power supply but mine was loud
I purchased this power supply several months ago for my new Icom IC-9700. The IC-9700 requires 1.2 amps on receive and 18 amps on transmit so this power supply should be more than adequate. I am very satisfied with the performance of this power supply with one issue. After a few minutes on receive the fan would turn on. It sounded like a vacuum cleaner! I contacted BTech support to see if they could suggest anything to quiet it down. They promptly offered an RMA but I was not ready to give up so soon. I finally found a replacement fan 40x40x20mm with adequate air flow rated at 19.5 db. The fan noise is hardly noticeable now and I am a happy camper. 73 de K4RS ... show more

This is my second one. This is RF quiet (K4LLE is my callsign) and the output voltage is adjustable and I set mine to 14.0 as this is what my radios like. This thing puts out 30amps so HF radios that put out 100 watts are happy with this power supply.
