  • PROVIDES A LINEAR AMPLIFIER WITH A FULL FIFTY AMPS AT 12.5 VOLTS FOR A COOL 300 WATSS OUTPUT
Size: 50II(5-19V 50A)
THIS IS A NICE FIFTY AMP SUPPLY. TO LIKE} Attractive well made heavy weight Good design features Dual Meters for Voltage.... (adjustable) Lower current 12V. Cigar plug receptacle on front panel for Hand Held, or Other. Good heavy power cord. Solid attachment to supply good solid mating. I have been using this power supply everyday for twenty four hours a day at standby condition, and power up for at least one half hour for a weekday netcall. It has performed flawlessly. Stable, extremely accurate voltage control once set. It is a solid piece of gear for my VHF equipment in my Ham Radio Station. I know my equipment since I have been a radio amateur a bit longer than most, I once held an FCC First Class Radio Telephone license and was an FAA Certified engineer keeping all airborne heavies safe and happy. This is a very nice power supply. Gives up little warmth for a full demand load. For a HAM radio operator, or anyone wishing a good DC bench supply this Fifty Amp is great equipment for the price. You could not make one as nice for the price. I am certain of that. I am awarding the Supply a A GIANT FIVE STAR RATING. for performance and overall value. ... show more

  • Nice unit, quiet RF
Size: 50II(5-19V 50A)
So far it’s working great I power a couple of radios and a small hf amplifier. I have only drawn up to about 40 A but the unit itself is very nice. Very quiet rf wise and physically.

  • The 50 amp and 60 are great power supply’s
Size: 50II(5-19V 50A)
Received in new perfect condition. Works as advertised. Everything checked out. Using it now for my ham radio station. 40 amps continuous and 50 amps surge. Good size power supply and fits nicely on shelf. Very happy with my purchase. Would recommend this supply. Once again time will tell when I get some hours behind it. But for now it’s working great. I like how the meters have light on them. Light brightness is perfect not like looking into a flashlight. Also the layout of controls and connectors are very well planned out. Update, my 50 amp power supply is still working great! Plus I just received my 60 amp with LCD display. I needed more current for my two amplifiers I purchased. UHF 160 watts and VHF 350 watts. My antenna can only handle 330 watts. So I keep the High power setting at 300 watts. The 60 amp power supply works great. Just needed to update this because there were now reviews about this model. Only had this one day. But if it’s like my 50 amp, I expect it will hold up just fine. Beautiful power supply’s. Highly recommend!!!!! ... show more

  • Quiet and effective power supply.
Size: 1330(13.8V 30A)
Used for 2 meter 70 centimeter ham radio. Quiet operation. No audible hum. No voltage drop when in tx . Shipped and received super fast. No noise in receiving or transmission detected. 5 stars catagorically.

  • Nice power supply
Size: 1332(9-15V 30A)
I like this little supply, and it is little, small and light. This is my first switching supply. I always liked the ones with the big, heavy power transformers. I am using it to power a vhf ham transceiver, which draws 20 amps on high power. The supply provides this effortlessly, does not get hot and the cooling fan has not kicked on at all. There is no radio noise from the unit. I can vary the voltage from 9 to 15 volts, but I just leave it on 13.8 and it stays there, with no lag under a 20 amp load. I like having separate voltage and current readings, and they are large, bright and easy to read. I really have no complaints, but it would have been nice to have a second pair of power jacks on the back panel. The single pair of back panel connectors do not appear to be particularly heavy duty for a 30 amp connection. ... show more

  • Good power supply but captive terminal caps
Size: 1330(13.8V 30A)
This review is specific to the 30 Amp 13.8V fixed voltage power supply. I purchased this supply to provide ground power to the avionics of my RV-14 and so far it has worked great for that purpose - my baseline draw is 8 Amps and bumps up to a peak of around 25 with _everything_ on that bus active and this supply has handled it without issues. It's quiet both audibly and electrically and the system sees the 13.8V as an alternator input so it effectively charges the system backup batteries. The only downside is that I anticipated the screw terminals to have removable caps so I could use ring terminals on my power lead, but they are captive and require fork terminals to connect. ... show more

  • Great for Van build with long wire runs
Size: 1330(13.8V 30A)
I use this in my Ford transit build. I ran into a problem with the Eco flows I was using, as I needed 12 V power to power a diesel heater. I used 16 gauge wire to go from my Eco flows to the heater. And the voltage would drop under the minimum threshold of the heater over about a 6 foot cable run. This power supply gives out 1.8 more volts than the Eco flow, which is enough to overcome the voltage sag preventing me from having to rerun my wire wires with thicker wires. It also grants me more overhead room as this is rated for 30 A instead of 10. Seems to be built of quality very simple, made of metal works well. Slightly high idle power usage. Also the positive and negative studs do not completely remove. They just loosen so using a closed ring terminal is not an option. You have to use a fork style, or whatever the proper term is. ... show more

  • Best 50 Amp Power Supply for the Money
Size: 50II(5-19V 50A)
I have had this power supply now for several months and it works as advertised. I like that it has two LED lit dials, one for amps being drawn and one for voltage. I have mine set for 13.8 volts DC as recommended by most amateur radio gear. When transmitting with my HF or VHF transceiver at 100 watts, the voltage does not drop any nor does the needle even flicker. The amp meter does show the proper amount of amperage being used. The fan does NOT run constantly like a lot of the switching power supplies do. It is a very quiet power supply. The fan will come on if I am running high wattage on 100% duty cycle modes of transmission. The fan runs only until the unit cools back down and the fan is not very loud. The unit has a voltage adjust knob on the front along with an offset knob for moving any "birdies" that the power supply might generate, but I have not found that to be a problem. There are also two sets of Anderson Power Poles on the front along with a cigarette lighter type outlet. The main power is supplied through two heavy duty connectors on the back of the unit. I do highly recommend this power supply for a radio amateur and the price is the best around for a 50 amp supply. ... show more
