Great value. Used for ICOM IC 7300 and a 2-band 25W mobile ham radio. Surprisingly little to no impact to S/N (i.e. no noticeable RF noise). Fan is whisper quiet. Voltage is rather stable from 10-100W (voltage drops only about 0.1-0.2V at 100W). Just made a 4000+ mile phone contact in Europe on 20 meter band with 59 signal report with a 40m EFHW. Only tiny issue is that there is no wire hole and unable to remove the wire terminal nut. Recommended. ... show more

    • Been great so far, 9 months problem free
I've had this power supply for 9 months now for my Yaesu 2m mobile ham radio on a bench. It's been very good so far to date. I just bought a Yaesu FT-891 and going to put it on this power supply as well. I'm not going to have both connected at the same time, just one or the other. Full disclosure: I get into my local ham radio repeaters on 2m at lowest power setting, so I have not cranked up to a full 50 or 100 watts. So, I've never really put this power supply under heaviest loads. Since I'd rather be a good neighbor than try to fry my power supply, I will likely never take it that deep into it's power rating ... show more

    • Good power supply but captive terminal caps
This review is specific to the 30 Amp 13.8V fixed voltage power supply. I purchased this supply to provide ground power to the avionics of my RV-14 and so far it has worked great for that purpose - my baseline draw is 8 Amps and bumps up to a peak of around 25 with _everything_ on that bus active and this supply has handled it without issues. It's quiet both audibly and electrically and the system sees the 13.8V as an alternator input so it effectively charges the system backup batteries. The only downside is that I anticipated the screw terminals to have removable caps so I could use ring terminals on my power lead, but they are captive and require fork terminals to connect. ... show more
