Using this to add a subwoofer to a factory head unit. Makes it very easy compared to removing the head unit as you only need to tap into the rear or rear door speaker wires (rear speakers usually always receive full bandwidth). If your amp has a high-level input, you don't have to use this LOC. This one works great but remember to turn the adjustable level up all the way. I added a subwoofer to a G37 Convertible using a wire tap from the rear 6x9's and it works very well. This allows the factory head unit to utilize the bass adjustment from the Bose system to work just like having a separate subwoofer volume control. It's a quality product.
