The cocoon corpse is a fantastic and traditional Halloween decoration! The material is soft and lightweight, making it easy to compress for storage, though it is a bit fragile, if you treat it cautiously, you shouldn't have any issues. I had a similar one that lasted for years before the material started to break down, and this seems to be of similar quality, so I’m satisfied with it. The foam head and feet add a great touch, making it look more realistic, like a trapped victim in a web. It also has fishing loops on both ends, so you can hang it however you like. If it holds up as long as my last one, I’ll be very happy with it! As good as any others I have seen, can't go wrong!

This prop delivers exactly what you want if you’re building a creepy scene. At 72 inches, it has a full‑size presence, and the cocooned design gives it a convincingly eerie look without being over the top. It’s lightweight, easy to hang or position, and durable enough to reuse for multiple seasons. Great value for adding a dramatic, unsettling touch to any Halloween display. Good product, but did not hold up in the rainy season. Practical and can be installed anywhere basically.

Bought this hoping it would be of pretty decent quality like the picture shows for the price it was. Opened it up (was in a tiny foot long plastic bag crunched up), and was instantly disappointed. The reviews that say you can make this for less than 10 bucks from the dollar store at Halloween time are completely correct. The item is made so cheap, and is completely see through if there is any sort of light (even sunlight) behind it. The skull is super small and is made of foam, along with the feet, which are also ridiculously small. I might just return this because the value is absolutely not there for the price. If it looked like the picture did, and was even the same shape (I even tried bending the wires inside of it to make the shape more realistic, and you just can't - it becomes paper thin if you try and make it less blocky...) I'd have kept it, but I really do think this one will go back for no reason other than inferior quality control for a price point that's way too high to accept.

Neighborhood regulations prevent me from harvesting my own from the local giant spiders so I am relegated to purchasing online. This is the 2nd time I've purchased the corpse and the last one lasted 4 Halloween seasons before the wind and rain finally took its toll.

UPDATE: I purchased a second "72in Cocoon Corpse" in September of 2022 and it is NOT the same as the first one that I bought in 2016. The new one received has almost no shape to it, the foam head is not full-sized and the foam feet are just flat. Sure, it packs down a little smaller than the original but it is NOT worth the downgrade. This past season we had a terrible storm while the Halloween decorations were out. The new corpse is pretty much destroyed while the 2016 corpse still looks and works great. Comparison images are attached. I'm pretty sure the original corpse came in the same, unmarked cardboard box that I currently store it in while the new version came compactly shrink-wrapped. If you order one and receive the shrink-wrapped version I recommend sending it back immediately. Just like all the other reviews say- for the price, this prop is awesome. It packs small and expands to a full-sized "corpse" The webbing does snag on everything, but it can add to the effect with leaves or debris sticking to the web. This prop is mostly hollow, so it's best used in a spot where it isn't backlit... but, then again, a semi-transparent corpse is also pretty cool. Kinda like it 's even more decomposed or "eaten by a giant spider" It is also super lightweight - so much that the wind catches it very easily. I've had this hanging out in some crazy 30mph wind, rain and snow - swinging and flying around - and it's still perfectly intact. I bought it in 2016, so this will be the fifth year using this prop and it still looks great.

The media could not be loaded. I bought this last year and stored it in the garage-- my cat decided to 'make it his own' and urinate on it and I had to throw it out. This is by far one of my favorite decorations, it's simple in design, extremely easy to store (it just folds up, not really filled with anything but gives the illusion of weight) Halloween is the time of year my wife and I go crazy and spiders are our thing and this just ties everything together; It's usually hung close to my front door and it's always a favorite, I have a giant spider crawling from it and it's a crowd favorite. In my video you can't really make it out too well, but you can get a general feeling of the size-- It does look like a full 'cocooned' corpse, especially after adding some more elements such as a crawling spider, additional webbing etc. It's just wrapped in your standard 'Halloween webbing so if you want to tweak it or add more that's all you need. It's an awesome decoration and I haven't found it anywhere but Amazon and Halloween stores. My video shows it briefly hanging to the right of my front door-- I apologize about the quality, but it gives you a good idea of the size and quality.
